What you experienced is normal if you are foreigner who does not speak Hungarian, does not know the rules of the local scene, is in Budapest for 2-3 days (either very nervous or horny or both) & is thinking with his lower head. So, you paid 40000 Ft & a taxi (5000 Ft more) 45000 FT. That is between 130 euro & 150 euro depending on where you exchanged your money (oh yes, there are money exchange offices who are ripping people off too). Well, now we know why she does not accept them & yes you overpaid. But, if that was OK for you, who am I to disagree?
