You are quite right there. When I made my answer I did try to keep my answer short and simple, just because it covers the majority of cases.

Funny all my Hungarian relatives and friends that live there haven't got a clue or can grasp the Hungarian economy and politics they just grumble about the high prices and the difficulty of making a living. Hungary used to be awesome. Then it just got too hot, prices went up and middle men saw a way to make money off of mongers.

I may have to try the Skype number. I still have a Magyar Telekom sim card from last year that WhatsApp and Viber work with, and my German number usually does not scare too many off.
