The punter is now criminalised since the end of March in The Republic, with a fine of up to €500 on a first offence. They pretended that sex workers were decriminalised under it, when actually 2 or more sex workers operating from the same apartment / house are now subject to €5000 fine. Streetwork is technically now decriminalised for the worker, but most of them have alcohol / drug issues and the punter is vastly more exposed.

No punter has been arrested under this law yet, but you could be the first!

Similar Laws have been in Northern Ireland for over a year and currently are being challenged by sex worker, Laura Lee. Again, no punter has been arrested under them yet!

Also in both jurisdictions if you are caught with a trafficked or coerced sex worker, you could face a prison sentence!

For more heads up on all matters relating to punting in Ireland, North and South, have a look at the Escort Ireland site!

I will be moving to Dublin in August this year. This sounds pretty bad. What is current situation?

What is the point in punishing sinners (so called) while root cause of Sin stays intact.

Nobody is addressing what will happen to those girls who had no other option left apart from sex work and How are they going to survive. Being a feminist doesn't have to be at the cost of being a moron.

Pimping and brothels are illegal, but single ladies operating out of apartments are fine. Escort-ireland.com has the market cornered as far as advertising is concerned.
All aspects of prostitution other than the mere act of prostitution are illegal, including advertising prostitution, soliciting, importuning (presumably to make requests for sex services illegal), organising / controling / directing someone for prostitution, living off the earnings of a prostitute and using a premises for the purposes of prostitution. This latter item, using a premises for prostitution, would also cover single ladies operating out of an apartment.

In effect, while the act of prostitution is technically legal, actually getting to have sex with someone for money will involve some sort of offence by both customer and provider.

I always found it strange that prostitution is legal in Ireland and in many catholic countries, but abortion is not? I'm no feminist, but I think that it says something about the view of women.

The scene in Ireland is all online with a number of prominent websites and forums having all the info. Whilst not as interesting as many other countries it is very active with a lot of choice although prices can be high www.escort-Ireland.com Is the most active site.

Either Ryan Air, or Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus aren't that bad, I'm flying to Hamburg with them. 2 day return flight £90 sterling.

    Thanks / Cheers!
I don't know if this request is still current because the post is so old. But here goes:

Read the German Partytreffs forum, especially the BarebackAO thread, the Spermagames thread and the Gangbang Clubs thread. That is if you are into the groupsex thing. Last weekend at Spermagames I got to fuck 8 different women several times within 2 days. Both 9-hour-parties, including sleepover at the club and two breakfasts for 220 Euros, including HIV-testing.

Ireland's bid to outlaw the purchase of sexual services

As if the government in Ireland doesn't have enough to do fixing its banks, economy, employment situation etc. It has now proposed to reform prostitution laws making it illegal for a man to buy sex but not for a woman to sell it.

Newspaper lifestyle supplements are full of advice on “looking good for less” and how to cook cheap cuts of meat. Recession chic is the fashion of the moment.
