    Brothers,

I am new to Dublin. I understand that Covid has an impact in actually meeting some one, still wanted to get help from the forerunners on how things work here. I see that Tinder works really good here, still wanted to know if all the hype about AFF and freindswithbenefit site are worthy for paid versions?

    Requesting suggestion and help.

    Thanks,

    CM.

The law says that there can only be one escort per home. If there is more than one the police takes it as if it was a brothel and can shutdown.

My backup plan is to take a quick flight to Manchester and just fuck there at Cosmopolitan where I feel there's less legal risk. But, that's far more complicated than just using the services of a girl in Dublin.
I don't see any problem using escort services in Dublin as far as I can tell. I am aware of the risk pointed before but I just don't see it really happening. I see it more as a PR stunt. The problem now is COVID-19 and very few escorts to choose from. I guess that things might get better in the end of the year.

    No Go in Dublin?

Given the lack of reply to my last post, I assume that Dublin is a no go for P4P? If so, I'll continue my strategy of punting in a nearby location (probably Manchester) where punting is legal.

    Risks of Mongering in Ireland?

The Irish Police have been engaging in an ongoing operation called Operation Quest, a new dimension was added to it recently targeting clients of escorts.

It seems 36 lads have been questioned under it and are likely to face charges in court.

It's difficult not to see this as anything other than a PR spectacular designed to get the heat of rad fems and other assorted nutters of their backs.

Below is a letter to our paper of record / reference. The Irish Times. By sex workers rights advocates highlighting another disgusting aspect of this.

Thank you for the update WM. I find this quite depressing, it seems Ireland is more and more becoming a nanny state, attempting to micro manage people's personal lives. I'm surprised the Gardai and DPP have the time to spend on something like this, I really feel they have more important things to be doing but obviously they feel they don't!

First Successful Prosecution of a Punter Under The insane New Laws.

    https://www.irishexaminer.com/breaki...se-899086.html

Last month a harmless 65 year old man was sucessfully prosecuted in a Southern Irish Court for engaging with another consenting adult in private.

It's not really certain in terms of the full circumstances as to what happened, it seems there was absolutely no coercion / trafficking issues involved and the ladies in the brothel were allowed to continue on.

I suspect the man foolishly admitted guilt to the police when they came across him in a brothel.

Other cases have failed because no evidence was forthcoming from the service provider.

Apparently, there are more cases pending!

The Irish Sate is on the way to becoming the biggest pimp in the land!

Here is an absolutely superb article by Steph Hanlon on how The Irish State has failed sex workers in particular with reference to the law which criminalized the purchase of sex -.

    http://www.rebelnews.ie/2018/09/13/i...g-sex-workers/

Her brief summary of the insane new laws wrt to punters -.

'Paying anyone, including a prostitute with money (or any other consideration) for sexual activity with a prostitute is now criminalised. This is a new offence; it is summary only (non-arrestable); the only penalty is a modest fine, but the amount escalates after the first offence. Sexual activity is defined broadly in this Section.

Note that it also includes an offence of failing to comply with a direction to "move on" (I. E. Stop loitering in order to solicit someone), without reasonable excuse, which carries a maximum penalty of 6 months imprisonment.'

I can't give you anywhere near as comprehensive an answer as has been given by WM below, but I will say this. I visit an escort once or twice a month in Ireland (most of my mongering is abroad) and from my point of view the new law change has not made any difference to me. I still see similar numbers of girls advertising and presumably as many punters visiting them as before. For any of my visits to escorts I haven't seen or had any feeling that the Gardai were observing. My advice though is to only visit escorts that work out of apartments, don't visit escorts that work out of hotels as I feel there is a far higher chance of the Gardai being called in that instance, and also don't pick up any of the street girls. If I am ever confronted by the Gardai I will just deny having paid any money, last time I looked it was still legal to visit a female friend in an apartment, we're still living in a free enough country for now at least!

In terms of The Republic of Ireland, the anti-sex worker law was a year old a couple of months ago and it came out that the police tried to bring 2 prosecutions against punters. The Director of public prosecutions couldn't proceed with either case, because the sex workers refused to appear in court as witnesses. Also there were / are a few massage parlours in the Central Dublin area around Dorset Street, residents started protesting outside them and begging the police to enforce the laws. The police told them out straight that unless they observe money changing hands, it would be very difficult to get a successful prosecution!

The TORLERs. Nutters who were the prime movers in bringing in this madness are screaming for it to be made tougher e. G. Prosecutions based on flimsier evidence. A typical fascist pig reaction!

The new law has seen a huge rise in assaults of sex workers, which of course was flagged as the one absolute inevitable consequence of the insanity!

The Irish police are the highest paid in the world averaging €65 K per year including allowances and overtime and retire after 30 years service on pensions at half their final salary, when you are remunerated at that level, you can be certain you won't be working to hard, if you are in a state job! The name of the game is pulling the [CodeWord140] out of ordinary Irish Citizens, laughing all the way to the bank and protected the great and the good!

In Northern Ireland, which is a different legal jurisdiction, but has a similar law in this regard, there was a heavy handed brothel raid in Belfast last week, it was almost certainly more than just a prostitution raid and other issues would be involved e. G. Gangs and trafficking issues. Guess what the raids were carried out AFAIK before 10 am, deliberately set so as not to catch any 'innocent' punter!

One punter, from last year was set to be prosecuted in Northern Ireland after a sex worker squealed to the police during a raid, the case was originally postpones and I don't know what happened subsequently.

Essentially in The Republic, unless there is a change in attitude from LE, it's unlikely you will get into serious trouble.

Re Stings, there was one a few years ago wrt the street scene in Limerick, it's rumoured 2 of the clinets fined and named in court took their own lives afterwards!
