Well, as a national of this conservative nation, I can confirm to all you travellers that if you end up here, dont expect anything decent in terms of this form of entertainment.

Firstly, theres nothing outside the capital with the exception of a handful of 'lapdancing' clubs and brothels in Cork/Limerick/Galway.

In Dublin one would expect that it would have the critical mass as a main european city to have something substantial to offer but this sadly is not the case. Quite a few lapdancing clubs have popped up in recent years but these are a total ripoff. Details of brothels can be found via the net - as our stupid backward censorship laws have banished such advertising from irish publications. In any event, the level of service is lousy and expensive.

Just to reinforce what others have said, the street scene is dangerous in a number of ways.

(i). The SW's are addicts

(ii). They will make efforts to steal from you - worse yet, should you for any reason find yourself in the vicinity of their pimps, you could find yourself in deep trouble.

(iii). The couple of locations where they operate is monitored by the irish police and its quite likely you will be picked up by them - and potentially charged & brought to court at a later date.

If you find yourself in Ireland, your better off making an effort in one of our niteclubs as opposed to gong for the P4P option.

If you want P4P, procede to Dublin Airport and get on the first flight to a more liberal european destination.

This place has changed a lot but its still sadly a deeply conservative country when alls said and done.

I am from Ireland and I have first hand experience of the scene in the country.

You are better off going to the local bars in Temple bar in Dublin and trying to pick up a girl. The prostitutes tend to be in off beat areas in the city centre. Fitzwilliam Square is one I can think off. This is just off Leeson st in Dublin where several Lapdancing clubs are.

The girls tend to be a 3-5 and as it is dark could be a lot worse in bright light. Another well known area was Benburb st but as there a rail works goin on around the girls are few and far between around there now.

Like I said earlier go to the tourisrt bars in Temple bar places like Gogartys, The Quays Bar, The Temple Bar , Bad Bobs, The Turks Head. Just off Oconnell St, The Arlington Bar.

Night Clubs: Try Club M or downstairs in the Arlington.

I spent 2 weeks in .ie in 2002. Absolutely f*cking loved it, except, as the others have noted, there is *no* p4p to be had, period.

Side note: there are no 5s in Dublin, Waterford, Cork, or Drogheda. They're 1-2s and 9-10s, nothing in between. Odd.

A few months ago I drove around the southside canal area near Baggot st looking for SW. I spend about an hour driving around, saw about 4 or 5 ugly drug addicts and 2 other girls asked the prices 60 euro in the car, didn´t take up the offer.
