I agree with you about ATMs, but I was trying to avoid an electronic record being created of why I am using a Swiss ATM and withdrawing Francs for a trip to Milan Italy. It is probably paranoia on my part but I try to create as few electronic records as possible, which is nearly impossible today as everything we do is tracked. Also I didn't want to make that large of a withdrawal from my bank account. I participate in several cash based businesses and have access to a decent amount of dollars in hard currency.
