Yesterday afternoon I came out for a nice tour close to "Paullese" road (important road from Milano to Crema), East Milan.

For what concerns hotels, they are quite expensive in Milan, so I don't know what to suggest you. In general some "mid-price" ones are located in the area of Corso Buenos Aires or near the Central Station, both those areas are not particularly nice but in the Corso Buenos Aires area there are all the shops, it's like London's Oxford Street. Other hotels are located in the Fiera di Milano area, those are usually more expensive as the area is residential. I suggest you don't go below 3 stars or you risk being in a "hour hotel"
