Long text but just very excited to plan my next AMS visit after 1. 5 years a away.

You make some good points and you've been to Amsterdam before but I would say there have always been a lot of 9's and 10's in the RLD in terms of looks. Obviously, there are far fewer girls than there used to be a few years ago. But seeing 9's and 10's is very common, it's what sucks the tourists in to subsequently be ripped off!

In terms of numbers, it's been reported recently that there are around 60-70 girls in the main RLD (De Wallen) at the peak times (e.g. Saturday night) and only 20 odd at the most off-peak times (e.g. Monday morning).

Even with the good rip-off avoidance advice you make, it's still a big risk. I would guess that slightly over half of the 60-70 girls at peak times would either rip you off or give you a very poor service (not necessarily rip off).
