Was in Utrecht last week for several days, here are my experiences/observations:

-Hardebollenstraat - the "traditional" red light district downtown, a small side street that connects to near the downtown end of Voorstraat: about 20 windows, street less than 50 meters long; most windows occupied all day and evening. Quality fairly low, 3-6 in scale. Also prices low, was quoted 30 EUR by the two I asked. Seemed perfectly safe, despite some gangs of young immigrants loitering there, some pretty high on dope.

-Voorstraat 17bis - easy to find as mentioned here, ring doorbell and you will be buzzed in. When I were there, only 3 ladies working of which one was busy; the other two real dogs, 3-4 in scale. Was quoted prices from 65 EUR, politely declined the ladies that were presented and left, no problem at all and no pressure, the madame was very civilised and friendly.

-Zandpad: absolutely unbelieveable!! A bit of a hike from downtown on foot but worth it. Easy to find - just find Zandpad from map (northern part of town, large park byt the old canal), the boats are on both sides of the big road bridge, about 500 metres north of the railway bridge. -Jan Bik, Jaffastraat 1: discreet entrance, check the website for picture of the building, enter thru the inconspicuous open door next to the pizza joint. Inside, looked a bit run-down but clean.
