Was in Haarlem this week. Was not able to hobby due to being with a companion, but did pass by the Red Light District (2 buildings with red lights on the window, including 1 or 2 window girls, you can google Haarlem red light district for specifics, it's near a historic church), and it does still exist, very safe part of town.

Yes, I was there recently and also stumbled across this RLD on the way to and from the railway station.

I think the street is called Begijnestraat or something like that.

Compared to nearby Alkmaar, this was a disappointment with only a handful of windows and little talent on display.

If I go back, I'll probably take another look later on during the evening to see if it improves but nothing to get excited about would be my hunch.

Your memory is spot on. Thank you for the correct location info. Along that road, in addition to De Wallen, are at least 3 other smallish red light / prive / sauna type places. Passed them around midnight and all had lights on and cars in car parks so looked to be operating. Only tried DW so can't comment on them but that road clearly is a very well established RL club area. Compare the ongoing closure problems at YY.

While Erika is 'on tour' at DW I will stay; maybe try others later. Good hunting.

Really. Along the Rijksweg (that is a road that brings cars to the freeway) there have been about 4 brothels in that area. When I was young I was amazed. Because there was very clear advertisement on these sites, even in the 1970's. Later when I had a car I passed along them. Never went there. I think about 15 years ago there were still three of them. Now, it seems only one managed to survive. I like the Ardennes better for a pastime. I think you have to hurry if you still like to see the last spot.

I had never heard of it, so I have done some research. It's called "De Limburgse Wallen" (after the province: Limburg) and it's actually closer to Maasbracht than Roermond. Not easy to get to I think, unless you have a car or take a taxi from the railway station in Roermond.

This is the same place, and it's not a 'private house' - this is literally translated from Dutch but has a secondary meaning similar to sex club. It's been around for years and has changed owners & 'vibe' / quality of ladies over the years. I have been a number of times but only (late) evenings so I wouldn't be able to tell you what it's like before 7 pm but my guess would be that it's a different way of connecting the ladies with the mongers (slower traffic?

Anyway, I have walked out one time because all the ladies were 'big' which is totally not what I'm after. But overall this club has been quite good (and had some amazing sessions there), including the last visit two weeks ago when I hooked up with a black girl. No kissing but fantastic body en good service.

So, in Haarlem it's probably the best option, but I'd suggest you have a look at the ladies ('dames') on the website before you go.

The RLD in Arnhem was closed back in 2006, so your only options are some private houses ('privehuis' in Dutch) in the area or escorts or freelancers online.

There's a small RLD in nearby Nijmegen at a street called 'Nieuwe Markt'.
