Does anyone have any up to date reports on any places in this lovely town?

Here's mine, I went to Eros Centre, Rijnstraat 12 Leiden, last week. You walk in and are welcomed by a very pleasant gentleman who speaks perfect English - like most Dutch people!

For now they still not have a new location. Some girls moved to some other cities nearby, like doetinchem, nijmegen and deventer. Each a 20 to 30 minutes drive from arnhem. Some others went to groningen and to other places in belgium and germany. Hope they have a new location soon. I also did have some great times in arnhem. Shame it had to close after almost 40 years.

Sorry, for the late report. Often I've seen questions about Haarlem's red light district. I investigated during my trip to Europe many months ago.

I was in Haarlem in March 2005 during an unexpected snow storm, and even then I saw signs of a small red light district. There are a few little streets south of the Grotekerk that had 3 or 4 red lit up windows. One of these windows flanked an entrance into some sort of club or event. In all, the red windows had perhaps 3 so-so looking ladies working, and I didn't chat with any of them. I knew better opportunities were available in Amsterdam and Den Haag.

Don't head too far south from the Grotekerk; more than 2-300m is probably too far.

You can do the whole journey by public transport: either a) train to Breda and then bus almost to the door or b) train to 's Hertogenbosch ("den bos"), train to Rijen and then bus. The latter is nearly an hour quicker (2:03 vs 2:51). Check the full details from the site below.

I was in Maastricht yesterday (passing through for a few hours) and went to Maastricht Prive, mentioned by another entry.
