I went to the Telay store in the atriving hall of the airport. Asking for Orange sim card at 10 zloty. During looking for money the identity card data was taken. Quick and dirty. No longer than half a minute and you can go to the taxi stop.

Check rates first on Bloomberg. Com or Yahoo money. Zloty / US$ to get an idea of the exchange rates.

Exchange kiosks usually give a better deal than at banks there.

Exchange money during business hours as they lower their rates after banks close or at weekends when they know there is less of a competition.

Check different Kiosks to see who gives the best deal. The ones away from tourist places and not so busy locations usually give a better deal.

Have a look on Tripadvisor. Com or Virtualtourist. Com, re exchange money & latest tips

Don't carry a lot of cash on you when you are out & about.

I am going to take the liberty to ask a question that I have been thinking about for some time. I knew that this is not the right topic but I cannot figure out the best place to examine my inquiry. Therefor I hope for your patience and even more for some suggestions.

I'm likely going to Poland for a wedding next month, from America, and wonder what the proper etiquette is for strip and sex clubs in Eastern Europe. For example, in America, tipping the bouncer can go a long way towards establishing a good relationship with the staff and dancers. Also, tipping dollar bills while dancers are on stage is customary, and the more you tip, the more attention you get after. Buying the girls and bartenders (or even DJ) a drink can be helpful too, if you want to toss around extra money. Also, turning down a girl for a private dance early in the conversation, or even before it gets started, is considered a good thing, as the dancer isn't "wasting time" with you.

Any suggestions on the subtleties of of club life in Poland or Eastern Europe in general?

General advice: Odloty is better for Warsaw, Roksa is better for Krakw. The pics don't usually match the girl. In fact, the same phone number will be listed for several girls. If you call, whoever answers the phone will claim to be the girl you want, regardless if they are blonde, brunette, etc. It's a crap shoot, really. I stuck only to ads that claimed they spoke English "well" on Odloty, and never had a problem communicating. Overall, experiences in Warsaw were much better than Krakw.

In Warsaw, had great experiences with ads for Malgosia / Lidka / Apolonia, both brunette and blonde, using the same number: 536 xxx 290. This is only place I can highly recommend. Appears to have several girls working there in a clean apartment. Pretty much all services on offer. Genuine DFK, DATY, strap on, for example. Enthusiastic girls. Great experience.

In Krakow, had terrible experience with "Paula" at number 793 xxx 666. Hope this is useful info for someone's next trip. I would compare Warsaw to Prague as far as the set-up. You find the girls online, they work out of an apartment with one or two others. They text you with the address, then when you arrive, they text you with the final details, like the apartment number and door code. Overall, I would only recommend mongering here if you are visiting for some other reason, and I would focus your attention on Warsaw. I would have gone to a LE Moulin Rouge party, but they are only open Monday through Friday.

Best girls in Poland are in Silesia region and Katowice is the heart of Silesia. That's because it is the most populated region of Poland which means that there are thousands of girls to choose from. I have been to KRK once and didn't have much luck with Roska and Odloty. May be I called from my international cell and also didn't speak Polish. I have RTTF and seen that for Odloty or Roska you need some local intel. Can you please be more specific around the student forum?
