Hello, I was in Krakow last week and there is still a private flat at Szeroka 22. I must admit I fell for the scam in which 2 Polish women ask to see a man and then take the man to a pub that charges outrageous prices. They were very skillful, because they did not want to immediately go to that street as in the usual scam that I read about. Instead, they asked me about pubs that were still open, so I pointed to one that I had just passed, but I had to meet it looked like it was closing. Then I pointed to the Hard Rock Cafe and they said it looked too loud. I said there were some good pubs on Bracka and we started chatting, so it was clear they knew I was not a mere tourist and had knowledge about Krakow. But then they said their hotel recommended a certain street and I did not recognize the name as I had not been in Krakow for many years. They said they wanted a pub that would not be too loud, so I followed them. They claimed to be from Zaponnie and were celebrating the older one's birthday. When we came to the right street, they did not push me to enter a particular pub. Instead I suggested one, but they said it was too loud, so then I saw a pub that said music pub and they agreed. Since I was the one who suggested it, I was not suspicious. They said they would buy the first drink. When we entered we were alone upstairs and there was a menu, so again, I was not all that suspicious, although I was on my toes. Then I was shocked when I saw the prices, about 10 times the normal price, but before I could look carefully at the menu they ordered their drinks, so I though OK one drink does not hurt and asked for a mixed drink. Then of course the first bill came to me, so I was scared -- it was 516 zloty! But then they paid the next two drinniks. Since they paid the next rounds with their card, it seemed like they really paid such outrageous prices, but now I suspect it was all show. I wanted to leave with the damage done, because nonetheless they were still friendly and good company and the place did play excellent music. But suddenly a next round of drinks came and I had to pay it. At first I did not think I had enough zloty, so I had to give them my card, so they really could have ripped me off and stolen a lot, but then lucky I was able to find enough money in cash, so I did not ever use the pin code and got the card back. Since I had already paid over 1,000 zloty then I waited for them to pay their two rounds, so at least I got some amount of drinks for my money (6 mixed drinks and 4 vodkas because when they "paid" we also got vodkas. But now I was really on my toes and when the older one said she now wanted champaign I immediately left. The strange thing is that the younger one gave me her cell phone number and she even sent me a message a few hours later stating they had just finished drinking and "left" the club and she still wanted to meet me the next day in Kazimierz, so she did not really seem like a scammer.

Also the next morning I looked up this scam and realized it was a scam and then I found the place again walking by the old square and saw it was the infamous Hard Candy, but still when I got worried about the place stealing my card, she actually answered my SMS and said since I did not use my pin there was no problem and she still wanted to meet me that evening in the Jewish area. So it was strange behavior for a scammer.

They don't have wg in there, not in the hall, not at the bar.
