As to your question re Warsaw. Haven't been for few years now but I would advise you not phone them first, just use google translate and send them texts in Polish. If it looks good ask to switch to Viber to get real photos. I wouldn't waste time running around to their places, safer and more convenient is to have them come to you. Just pay the extra taxi fare agreed first. Assuming you are using a Polish sim card.
