The place isn't without frustrations, but I have never understood how Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic get two or three posts for every post regarding Portugal.

I think it is because the Portugal scene is primarily one in which an appointment is made with a lady, she either comes over to his hotel, or he goes to her place, they do the deed, and part ways. Pretty standard in Montreal and throughout North America, but a lot of guys on ISG prefer to see and interact with a lot of ladies at once during the process, and Lisbon doesn't have a lot of that.

As you noted, it does have some upscale dinner clubs where the guy and the lady meet. It works for a lot of guys, but not for me. With the time difference, those places end up getting started too late for me. Those are the bad things.

But there are a hell of a lot of good things, too.

I love spending an hour, or 90 minutes, or a couple of hours in a nice hotel room, or her nice apartment, fucking. I don't care for any stupid CBJs (much preferring BBBJ, preferably to completion). I think they provide a nice floor on pricing, but most Americans are going to be happier with a true Portuguese provider who studied English in school. Most of them are fluent in English, unlike their true Brazilian sisters. An exception might exist with respect to the Nuru Spa, which does really seem dedicated to providing good service, and massage places are always a haven for temporary foreign workers.

Anyway, long post that didn't say much. Lisbon and perhaps more importantly the surrounding areas of Sintra and Cascais are simply spectacular. The price of everything is reasonable. I find Portuguese women pretty in an exotic way, the sessions are GFE and honest. The information to find the right ones to book for your particular taste is available even though it is time consuming. So it has always worked for me.

I doubt if Portugal changes the 72-hour pre-arrival test. That has been the gold standard in African countries and Dubai that have been open for many months.

Fortunately, if God forbid, one tests positive in Barcelona (after testing negative before entering, so the chances are slim), the quarantine procedures appear to be pretty reasonable and self-reporting.

Rwanda has that requirement that you go to a specified hotel after entering the country and get a test. If it comes back positive, you stay in your room until a negative test occurs, although granted this is unlikely if a negative test result occurred prior to entry into the country. There was an amusing story of a west coast American lady this happened to. She had smoked marijuana almost every day in California and wanted the Rwandan government to bring her pot in addition to the meals they provided to her in her room. Apparently pot is not legal for consumption there, so they would not honor her request.

I agree with your statement. Best to prepare to get the cheaper Antigen test 24 hours before in Barcelona, you are better off finding that info elsewhere, but I think it should be possible to get at the airport for around 50 euro, taking less than an hour.

I am, like you, hoping that Portugal soon will change to proof of vaccination OK, just like Spain and soon the rest of Europe. Antigen or proof of vaccinations should be the EU norm July 01.
