HIV infection rate in Angola is high (compared to Europe or States) but not as High as you mentioned.

Due to the war, Angola was a closed country for most of the 90s so the infection did not spread as it did in Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia or Zimbabwe.

In any of the latter, the rate is above 10% and in some cases above 20%. In Angola we are talking about 3 to 4%, which is under the Sub-Saharan average.

Anyway, the risk is always there. But most of the "girls from Angola" in Lisbon, have lived in Portugal for many, many years. Some are probably born in Cacem or Amadora.

I think of all the mongering destinations in Europe, Lisbon is my favourite. And I'm off there tomorrow!
The prose of Murillo and others here give an idea of the pervasive sensuality of the city, helped by fine weather and cheap prices.
What more can you ask for?
All the same, rich as it is, the forum here doesn't quite give you the full idea of the richness of experience you can have in Lisbon.
The Portuguese forums display a far fuller choice. Already in an outlying beach town of Costa da Caparica, the Portuguese forums speak of several addresses, although I know of just one.
Since Ana returned to the Ukraine, I only went back once. Unfortunately that was a Sunday, and they were closed. Try to avoid going mongering on a Sunday... the locals seem very family conscious, and business does shut down.
By the way, I've yet to find the nudist corner on the Costa da Caparica beach, although a stroll is very refreshing all the same. (I am just after seeing that realezas.com has a branch out in Costa, although I've never sampled their services).
I've always been lucky enough to find girls seemingly working on their own or in partnership... I don’t like the idea of middlemen, nor having to pay for more maybe a more impersonal service.

That characterises so well Poco. Last time, after being served well by Patricia of Benfica (an apartment at right angles to the large graveyard there... around No 22), I checked into my hotel near Poco, and then made my way over to street of charm. Not wise, on a Sunday evening - or rather Monday morning – at 1am.
No action to speak of, except a girl, about 23 maybe, excellent English – even more unreal still - intelligent with good conversation (definitely Portuguese, dark with gypsy looks, a bit emaciated so might have been a druggie, and would have been pretty enough otherwise).

Anyway I must have spellbound, because once inside – but before seeing the bed - I finally parted with some cash (I still can't believe I did this – and I’ve got as much experience as any street rat). To cut a long story short, for the next hour (incredibly), we played cat and mouse, running up and down the streets of the Barrio Alfama. No one in their sane mind would have done this, at that hour, unarmed. I at least got a good lesson in cultural geography, so consider the money worth it !

Anyway, moral of the story: stick with the trusted reviews. Prepare everything well in advance, from Google Maps to Google Translations. And avoid Poco when you can have stunning Patricia in Benfica (40e for 40m)… she has gone back to Brazil now I believe. So I am on the hunt for fresh blood if I can’t contact Lilia.

Can you recommend 4 (or 5) stars hotel close to Elefante Branco, Hipopotamos, Gallery etc? I have some names to choose between: Tivoli Lisboa Hotel, VIP Grand Lisboa, Aviz, Marques de Pombal, Real Parque Hotel, and Sana Park Lisboa Hotel, but other hotels may be possible...
