Hi So happy, thanks a lot for the feedback, though I'm disappointed by what you say. Have you been anywhere else in Romania or Eastern Europe to compare it against? Especially regarding the unfriendly people as you say, who are you comparing them too? Could most people speak English though? I'm also surprised how expensive you said it is, were you just in the touristic centre, because I'm sure supermarket food etc is cheap there, like in Bulgaria and Hungary. Hungary too has loads of women working abroad, but there's still plenty available in Budapest! It's just that I've always fancied a trip there, and it's a country I've never been to. Hi Coupe, sorry to disappoint you, but those are my experiences and I've mongered in many destinations in Eastern Europe (just got back from Prague) and beyond. Of course prices are higher in the tourist spots and there are nice parts of Romania (Sibiu, for example, is really great), as with all countries but, on average, it is not a place I would rush to. But hey, you seem to really want to go, so try it out and make up your own mind. And yes, most people speak English.
