I have been in Bucharest about a week, and it is very hot here in July. My apartment is next to Old Town and is walking distance to many bars, clubs, terraces, supermarkets, shopping, souvenirs, shopping center mall, restaurants, night clubs, and massage parlors. Old Town is where you should get your apt / hotel.

The Old Town nightlife is very lively, busy, and safe. No traffic is allowed and the area is beautiful. Ground zero for partying is Vintage Pub area and Freddys bar. Everything is very cheap. Beers are $2 or less, and dinner is $10 or less. Uber / taxi are very cheap. There are very few tourists, and the local non-pro girls will try to get you to buy them drinks. Taking one back to your hotel is a shot in the dark though. I would also not suggest offering them money to come back to your room.

In Bucharest, they refer to Strip Clubs as Night Clubs. They are all over Old Town, with promoters trying to convince you to come inside. I do not suggest you go in. They are all rip-offs and filled with dangeous scams. First of all, the girls don't strip on stage, they just dance fully clothed and try to convince you to buy them a drink. Their drink costs a minimum of $75 USD, and maximum of $1000 USD. This does not guarentee you any sexual relations with the girls. There may also be hidden entrance fees which you won't learn about until you try to exit.

In Old Town, there are about 5-10 street walkers. Same girls every night, gypsy type, somewhat attractive, I would not reccommend. They can be brought back to your place full service for 200 to 400 ron ($50-$100) for an hour. They are very negotiable, but not over friendly or attractive.

The massage parlors are very fun in this town. I can highly reccomend Artemis and Black Velvet. It costs about $60 USD for an hour full nude with happy ending. Its well worth it, I promise. I have had massages all over the world, and if all you are getting is a HJ, then the Romanian massage is the best. Artemis has the most selection (6 girls). Black velvet had the youngest selection (2 girls). There is one massage parlor I was able to find thanks to one of the street husslers in Old Town. The husslers name is George, and he is of Turkish / Romanian desent, early 30's, always wears a hat. He is trustworthy, most of the other touts / pimps are not. Be very careful with these guys / gals. But they will be happy to follow you around, and bring you to the night clubs so that they may earn a commission. Their commission is paid to him by the club / massage parlor if you hookup. Feel free to tip them yourself though if they took care of you proper. The massage parlor which did offer full service was 400 ron (100 USD). Girls were hot, service was mediocre. PM me for the name of the parlor, I do not want to make it too public / famous so it gets shut down. Prostitution is illegal in Romania!

Lastly, you have the escorts. You need a local phone number or sim card if you expect them to respond to you. Even with local number, 1/15 answer the call. Do not try whatsapp or text. They want 100 euro for an hour, but most will accept 300 Ron, they are all negotiable especially with repeat clients. The best sites for escorts here are public24 and fetedragute.ro

My advice: Hookup with escorts, get a few massages, eat cheap meals, buy non-pro girls cheap beer, and then head to Transylvania to see the castles. All is all, this is not a monger destination.

I did areply a few days ago but, I probably did not post it properly.

The Ambassador, where stayed in Nov is great and did mot have key card to operate the lift; but, the front lobby was being renovated at the time and I do not know what the lift situation is now.

A bit late, but yes a few details from my trip to Bucharest!

First of all thanks for all those who replied to my request as well as for those who gave some contacts.

Here we go.

First off all the girls hike up their price, as far as they find you are from abroad! (500 to 1000 Euros! Hehe no chance!

We should know, an average income is 100 to 150 Euro per month.

In Bucharest you have basically two options if you are short on time and don't speak the language -as was my situation. You can hit or miss on publi24 or anunturi websites. In order to have any luck with that, you must get a local SIM. I got one from Orange in the old city and was less than 5 Euros for calls and texting. And you don't need passport or ID to get the SIM. I was in and out of the store in 5 minutes.
