in my opinion IBIS is the worst hotel in bucharest and instead of staying there, stay anywhere else

I saw many guys saying that bucharest is an ugly city compared to the others, that they got nothing to see there, no cultural places

Geriatno, about the Internet access: There is some broadband. But it seems like a *****. I think they are charging something like 100 euro per month for it. And that doesn't include the computer. I was ok just using the Internet cafe. What do you need broadband for anyway? I don't know how easy dialup is. I know that in the private apartments that the fixed telephones are hard-wired to the wall. (That is, there is no jack to connect your laptop to.) God, I'm going through Romania withdrawal right now. I'm off to Bucharest this weekend. I've had limited luck on the Friend Finder type sites with making contact but we'll see where it goes once I get there.

Accomodations: I've been working with eastcomfort.com and they seem to be pretty user friendly.

P4P: So far I've received a few bites from Angelina Escort which seems to have some pretty decent package type deals including accomodations but no reviews about quality. PM me for a link if interested.

I am sorry that some of you have such a negative view on Bucharest and the ladies within. I personally have had extremely wonderful times with the girls I have been with. They have taken me out and about in the city, and to some of the greatest treasures hidden within. And I really mean hidden! Wind your way through 18 different poorly kept streets and you will find yourself at a nice little house. Enter and there are a handful of GORGEOUS women to choose from.

Sure the city may be dirty and ragged, but think about where they have just came from and what they have to work with. When you have a country that has a problem with it's citizens selling their babies so they can eat, do you really think the country has the cash for a beautification project? Hell, the city budget does not even allow for a dog/cat catcher.

Things are getting better there. Personally,I expect RO to become a major world wide travel destination in the next 10 years.
