    Charlie,
If you are using an MS Windows based PC, go to Control Panel | Keyboards, there should be a tab there that says "Languages". Click on that and "Add" a language. Select Russian. You will also have to specify a key combination that you will use to toggle between your English keyboard and the Russian keyboard, like Alt-Shift.

It'll probably take you a while to figure out which of the Cyrillic characters corresponds to the Roman characters on your English keyboard.

Remember, this will only enable your keyboard to enter Cyrillic characters on your screen. That doesn't necessarily mean that they will print on your printer. For that you will need Cyrillic fonts.

    Et cetera, et cetera...

    Азбука (Azbuka), русский алфавит

    Hi CharlieH

    In Windows XP:

    1. Control Panel
    2. Data, Time, Language and Regional Options
    3. Pick a Task: Add other Language or Pick a Control Panel icon
    4. Languages, Details, Add
    5. Languages, Details, Preferences, Language Bar, Show the Language Bar at the desktop
    6. Language Bar appears in System Tray (bottom right of your screen. When you doppelklick it, you can change the language, to Russian or many other languages. To change back to English, doppelklick the RU.

You have to experiment a little.

Otherwise, you can also use Help and Support in Windows X. In the Search field type: Text Services

    sponsor...

If you are over there and make friends with some of the people you will have a better idea about sponsoring. You could sponsor a hooker that has you as her only client or it could be a normal girl that is your girlfriend or mistress. Or it could be someone you have befriended, no sex involved, and you simple want to help that person. I was helping out a girl by having her do some work for me. She is a nice girl and when I tried to give her anything like clothes, money, etc. she would always say no. For me the money was very little but for her it meant getting through the month with enough food. I ended up hiring her to do little things for me. I got the pleasure of helping someone who was worthy and she was able to keep her dignity and get thought the month a little easier.

    Sponsor

What exactly is a sponsor and sponsorship in Russia?

Is it you pay x amount of dollars per month in exchange for sex x times? Is it basically an extension of seeing a hooker, ie, renting by the hour versus leasing for a month? Strictly a business transaction?

    Is this how sponsorship works?

What do the girls and men expect in a sponsorship relationship?

Is it something common in Russia? Or is it only a phenomenon in Moscow and St. Pete?

I'm still new to the scene, any info from the exerienced mongers will be appreciated, thanks.

Just my two-bits worth... Don't worry about being sold out by hotel staff... They are pretty much closed mouth about it but you will find the big problem with them is that they want their cut.

Apartment problems??? I've never experienced a problem with any of my apartments OR more importantly with the 10 apartments I rented in Moscow. And believe me when I tell you that I have presented some situations that should have caused problems with the 24/7 door security,

However, IMHO you will find that apartments are far less trouble than hotels... of course, doc's excellent comparison lays out the differences between the two... if one or the other is your highest priority, then you should let your priorities help you make a decision. Personally... I would never stay in a hotel in the FSU unless it is either free OR if I have no other choice.

    Apts vs. Hotels II

    CharlieH:

I doubt that the hotel staff would sell you out, you'll certainly not be the first guy they see parading in different girls everyday... actually you are more likely to be sold out by the babushka watching the door in the apartment complex your staying in... they can be pretty ratty... but that shouldnt worry you really either.

"Good" girls are taught that you dont go alone into a "strange" guy's room period, but this old adage seems to have been overhauled by modern life. Often it is easier to get them in the apartment for the first time during the day time. Certainly many freebies would have no problem going to a hotel either and are sometimes even curious to have a look, but the apartment is more comfortable for most girls and you are able to create better atmosphere there... unless of course your staying at the executive suite in Ararat or Riverside Towers, which might also be impressive for the dyevs. Frankly speaking though, I've yet to see a hotel room in Russia that really impressed me, not even in the most expensive hotels. Comfortable, clean and warm yes, but true luxury no. Very basic, especially considering the price tag.

If you go the apartment route, I suggest you try to get an apartment in the very center, as besides the geographical advantages for you, especially younger girls from Moscow's outer suburbs can be quite curious about seeing the inside of these buildings. Even if the apartments arent really impressive either, you'll at least get them in for "tea" and thats all that matters. Once in there, you can go to work on them.

And never underestimate the powerful combination of seductive lighting, sensual music and sweet alcoholic cocktails...

Skank, thanks for the feedback as always. Well organized and very helpful. That settles it, apartment it is for me! I'm mostly interested in chasing freebies.

When I stayed at a hotel last time, I was worried that the hotel staff would sell me out, tell girls (freebies) that I have brought different girls back to my room everyday. That would've really screwed up my plans.

So freebie girls don't want to go to hotels because they don't want to be mistaken as hookers? Are they taught in Russia that nice girls don't go to strangers' hotel rooms?

    hotels vs. apartments

    Charles H:

    Apartments vs. Hotels:

You're right, there are advantages (+) and disadvantages (-) to each.

    Hotels:
    + convenient and easy
+ generally well-located, easy to find
+ some have in house stock, although girls are of questionable quality in relation to price
    + regular cleaning
    + registration of visa provided
+ other basic services such as business center, exchange office, bar all on location

    - expensive, $200+/night
    - cheaper Russian hotels NOT girl-friendly
    - regular "freebie" type girls often dont want to go to hotels
    - only basic amenities
    - hotel guests tend to "bunker up" in hotels and never really get to know Moscow

    Apartments:
+ usually good location in center
    + cheaper than hotels, $100+/night
+ good apartment will have all amenities, incl. kitchen, DVD player etc.
+ regular "freebie" type girls prefer apartments
    + all apartments are "girl-friendly"
+ most apartment services offer cleaning at least once every 2 days
+ exposure to real Moscow life

    - no visa registration service provided
    - some apartments located in impractical locations
    - requires some knowledge of Russian living style, door codes etc.
    - some apartments may have hot water problems etc.

Basically it depends on your purpose of visit. If you are only staying a day or two, just want to bang an NF pro or two and money is no problem, than any of the Western hotels will be fine.... but plan on spending $250+ for most hotels, especially in high-season... and it always seems to be high-season in Moscow... the cheapest time of year is curiously enough the Christmas season when business travellers stay home.

If you however are staying for a few days or more and also want to pursue other p4p options and maybe even hunt "normal" girls, you are definitely better off in an apartment, where you can create your own love nest and atmosphere. Besides that, over the course of a week you'll save hundreds on accommodation costs and can cook your own meals etc, saving more money and time. If your not familiar with Moscow, make sure apartment is on Tverskaya near the Pushkin Square. Its the most convenient location for newbies and there is a lot to do and see right in that area.

If your interest is also in dating/fucking regular girls, an apartment can be a significant advantage. Girls are more interested in guys who visit Moscow regularly... having an apartment goes a long way to convincing them that you are a Moscow regular and worth fucking.

Occassionally you will meet regular girls who are interested in seeing the inside of the expensive hotels they usually just drive or walk by, but for every 1 of them there are 5 girls who'd prefer to be in an apartment somewhere in the middle of town, like Tverskaya. If you get a regular girl in your apartment, you are almost assured of scoring. If you are in Moscow with a fellow monger, throw a party in your apt... girls will get relaxed and have fun too.

Well, the places I have rented some are like hotels, they will fix it to where you can have it cleaned daily, and laundry done. Just depends on what you want. Me I like it cause it seems more privet, and seems like better prices for what you get. Thats why I choose apartment

    apartments v hotels

I've been reading that senior mongers keep saying that it's better to stay at an apartment than a hotel. The only obvious reason given is that it is easier to bring girls back to apartments as opposed to go through the hassle of hotel securities. And then apartments might be a little cheaper.

But I was wondering wouldn't it be more convienient to stay at a hotel and have a hotel maid clean the room and do laundry for us? God knows how many clean sheets we mongers need. There is also the issue of doing grocery shopping and stocking the bar. Wouldn't it be easier to just stay at a hotel and have everything taken care of by hotel people?

    abbreviations

    Rovnak:

    A/C = Анальный секс = anal sex
    O/C = oralni sex = oral sex
Г/C = I assume you are right, gruppni sex = group sex
CP = Семейным парам = married couples welcome

padruga yest or padrushki= means "I have a girlfriend" or "girlfriends"... meaning you can book 2 or more girls for a menage or whatever... at extra charge of course.

    abbreviations?

    Hey guys,

I'm in SPb, will have a lot to report once I get better internet access. Very successful visiting apartments.

Anyway, the Rendevu weekly is great, but I was wondering what the abbreviations mean in the ads. I assume they stand for sex acts that the advertiser is willing to do:

I may misrepresent the abbreviation because I do not know how to type in the cyrillic

A/C - I assume this means Anal Sex ... da?
r/C - the r is really the G sound as in gorad. ... Group Sex?
    O/C - oral sex?
CP - the second char is the "P" sound as in Ploshat. - what can that be? sex play? sport? sex public? WTF?

And how about the ever popular "yest padruga" or "padrushki" - is this their version of GFE? I have found most of the apartment girls are hesitant about DFK? Should I be asking for "yest padruga" ahead of time?

and then there is the wonderful but rare "foto originale" ... I figured that one out already.
