Regarding StandArt Hotel, the location is excellent. However, it's brand new so it's tough to gauge its policy. Sorry.

This has always been the problem with Moscow, you pay a premium for hotels that often have a no guest policy. In NZ not one hotel would have such a corrupt policy. I once stayed Hotel Metropol near Bolshoi and I had quite an arguement regards their policy, they have NZ Manager so he knew full well what a ridiculous policy it is. Its got nothing to do with safety, its purely because they've either been paid off or stood over to have such a policy, so not to compete with the hotel girls at the bar.

I have been to Moscow twice since the last time that I posted on this site. I found this hotel called StandArt, seems really close to NF probably less than a 100 meters walk. Do you happen to know if its girl-friendly as well, and if there is lobby action inside?

Marriott Aurora seems pricey, and older posts seem to suggest Loft / Penthouse / Angels over Aurora 911 for better experiences. So I might skip Aurora and give Loft / Penthouse a go.

Is it a good idea if I split my stay in 2 different hotels for the convenience and safety? StandArt seems nice and reasonably priced, so maybe I can stay there for 1 night to check out NF, then I'll switch to a different hotel little bit to the west, like Marriott Novy Arbat or Crown Plaza therefore allowing me to have Loft and Penthouse within easy reach. Is this a good plan? Vanilla massage is also in this area, and according to recent posts, sounds like a good place for some day-time action.

Marriott Aurora is across the street from Aurora 911. The closest hotels to NF are the Ritz Carlton (Expensive) and the Marriott Grand (not quite so expensive). A little further still is the Sheraton Palace. These are all Western Style hotels with a little "lobby action". Please take no offense from this comment, but if you are an Asian guy, you are better off sticking to NF, 911, Angels, Loft, etc. As an Asian guy, your biggest risk in wandering the streets of Moscow late at night is being mistaken for a Central Asian (Uzbek, Kazak, etc) and getting roughed up by drunk Gopniks. If you want to be adventurous, by all means take a gypsy cab to save money. If you want to avoid hassle, take a cab from the hotel to which ever club you are visiting. And when you are headed to the hotel, let the girl get a taxi. She'll get a better deal. 1000 rubles is $15. That should get you anywhere in the center by hotel taxi. Have fun.

Thanks to all members here, I feel like I have gained a vague idea of the mongering scene in Moscow after reading about 30 pages. So I'm an Asian with no language skill whatsoever, and given my relatively short stay, I figured its important to select the right hotel, know the right places to go beforehand, to make sure I have more realistic options so if something didn't work, I'll have a plan-be. I am also open to any advise / suggestion if it leads to avoiding things that are bound to be a waste of my limited time. Last thing I want is leave without scoring.

So far, my plan is to check in at a girl-friendly hotel that has some lobby action in itself, and has to be close to NF and 911 - ideally within walking distance of NF, so that I don't have to have a rip-off taxi driver to ruin my long-awaited Moscow journey or something, any suggestions?

Any update on the recent scenes in NF and 911, safety aspects, and also any advise you might have for a single Asian guy trying to discover the nightlife of Moscow would be much appreciated.

Mamba seems to have a lot of action currently but a good percentage of it is fake. Asked a girl to come meet, she said yes. Photos all casual instagram style, didn't match with google image search. I asked her, these photos are you? Yes.
