I don't remember very well about my expenses, since I was and vacation and my budget wasn't the problem, for me the city wasn't expensive not even the food in a good restaurant if I compared with Moscow, prices were lower than Moscow for sure. I wanted to stay more time in Khabarosvk but my guess is that is better on weekends than normal days.

As far as I have been able to work out, Dolce Vita has been closed, as have many other salons. Anyone have suggestions for an ok salon, anything from 2500 to 8000 roubles per hour?

Stayed there couple of times in the last 10 yrs. Morbide charme of former soviet times, photos of all leaders of USSR and mostly other communist states etc who stayed there on the walls.

In former years, min. 5-10 girls (6-9 on 1-10 scale) were hanging out between lobby and elevators. Bored with there cocktails later at night. Occasionally they walk up to you and ask for "massage". They charge rather high prices, try to start with 2-300 USD. Never engaged with them since travelling with business partners. Heard from colleagues, that it may be more an average to rip-off service.

Khabarovsk, is the first city from the far east Russia, full of beautiful girls. You should visit as well, believe me the far east is just different. I hooked up with one girl who helped me out to find my place in the city, I just got off the station and she was curious about my origin, she offered me her help and we ended up drinking vodka and having dinner later on, she was 19 year old Nice person who wanted some fun. But the city was full of beauties.

So it makes total three cities worth a visit.

I may be wrong here, but very little has been written about the saunas in Moscow. In fact, I can't remember anything being written in ANY of the FSU forums. I had the pleasure of partaking in a Moscow sauna last week and I thought I would share my experience.

There are literally hundreds of saunas in Moscow. Maybe even thousands. As the word implies, at the heart of the experience is a sauna and shower. But many if these little gems usually have a bar, karaoke machine, perhaps a pool table, dart board. Some will even have a plunge pool and even a swimming pool for your enjoyment. And of course there are usually at least one or two private "relaxing" rooms that have a bed in each.

These private saunas should not be confused with the more public 'banya' which is a time honored tradition in Russia. I am sure that someone out there can probably enlighten us as to the technical difference between 'banya' and 'sauna' but I will leave that to someone more worldly than me.

The particular sauna my colleagues and I visited was in central Moscow and had a nice (but small) changing area where you strip off your clothes and put on either a bath robe or towel (bed sheet) depending on your preference and of course the obligatory 'tappochki' (slippers)...

not a problem to reply to your queries i have plenty of time while i'm looking for another job. if you go by train, the good season to meet foreigners is summer but if you speak russian you could find lovely girls who are travelling. i didn't talk much while i was traveling because my lack of fluency with the cyrillic.

ekaterinburg is a really good place to meet good quality of girls and also many of them speak good english (ekat is the third largest city in russia and very modern). there is one famous strip club call 911 but also near the famous skyscraper you could find some good strip clubs. some russians took me to one, i don't remember name and location i was very drunk but i remember some girls dancing around me, i tipped them and left. that one was cheap if i compared to some strip clubs in moscow. the others strip clubs i didn't visit because i found a local girl who was very eager to stay with me my whole stay. as i said, coming from south america increased my chances in the province and in ekat i felt it very much, persons looking at me because i spoke english. i came back to ekat after finished my trip in vladivostok to meet that girl again but that is another story.

Thanks for your words. I have recently been busy that's why I delayed my reply. From Moscow to Vladivostok is one week non stop by train. But being honest with you if you don't have time don't do it, just take the plane that is 7.5 hours and is not expensive. Regarding housing, there are few options in airbnb but stay near the center, where the action happen. There few places in Vladivostok that will call your attention, so I went to "Mummy Troll" at Posyetskaya street, there are many music bars in that street but Mummy Troll was the best, it was Tuesday night and the party was on fire. I must say it was summer season and students were on summer break so I don't know how will it be right now. I came back to the same place on Thursday and again party on fire, I went so crazy with the party mood, very good memories. There is another place call the Cuckoo Club, it was very fancy but I didn't spend much time there I preferred the first one. There are some strip clubs but, one of them is in the hotel Azimuth if I recall well, but since I got a local girl I didn't go there. All in all pretty sure you will find good bars in town, the city isn't big so make the life easy if you consider near downtown.

Hi all,

I'm thinking on planning an extended vacation to FSU next year. I remember reading a report about a gentleman who rented a sauna for a night and had groups of girls presented to him. Then, he would pick one or two from each group and party with them for.

Awhile. I'm interested in that but can't find the report. Also, the links to reports of distinction don't lead to the reports. I can manage the language barrier I think as I've traveled the world a couple of times and always get by. My preference is for the 18 to.

Early twenties. I'm planning on staying in an apartment in each city I visit and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on good places to stay in Moscow, st Petersburg, and Kiev. I will most likely hop on a train and go out to the surrounding cities as I enjoy the mystery.

And excitement of getting lost in a strange place. Are escorts sites worth it or is it better to just hit up the clubs? Any places to avoid? Any info or links will be greatly appreciated if you have the time.

How does the ticket work on the Transiberian? Do you buy one ticket that gives you passage all the way to Vladivostok? Can you simply get off and back on when you want? Do you need to buy separate tickets between cities you stop at?

What did you pay for your ticket?

Interesting that the common language for Russians to communicate with Koreans and Chinese is English.

You are right getting fire was the best part of my summer. The tickets are very easy to collect / buy in every stop that you make in this journey. Let me explain in detailed if you want to travel non stop straight to Vladivostok you buy one ticket but you can not get off in any station that you want. I wouldn't advise to do this journey at once is too tough. What I did is bought a ticket from Moscow to Perm in Koupe class, it is a bit expensive but if you want comfort then pay for it. When I got Perm, I got off the train and bought the tickets from Perm to Ekaterinburg, then I went to the hostel to dropped my bag and take a rest for one day, went to a bar and try to talk with persons. The day after I was on the train again towards Ekaterinburg. I never booked in advanced the tickets, there are three classes but koupe class is a good one and Russians don't but it quite often so there are plenty of seats available on internet and at the station. When I travelled it was summer and usually the tickets are sold out but not this season because of the problem with Ukraine, not many tourist created courage to come to Russia. The price vary from the distance of one city to another but the most expensive ticket was 6863.4 rub from Chita to Khabarovsk, it was two days non stop journey.

I agree with you Strav, it was a surprise to hear English in Vladivostok.

Anyway I wish best for you. Regarding your trip I have made some research and had learned it is a 14 hours way from Moscow with train.

It looks like I will take the plane but you must tell us where to stay which bar or clubs are good to go in there.

I have also met persons near the place where I stayed most of the time Belorusskaya station and the business area, many restaurants around full of girls from companies open to talk, my favorite restaurant was Torro Grill, it has the perfect mix of bar and restaurant, if you try the bar you will find many pros chasing customers.

I made this trip but with many stopovers in different cities on my way to Vladivostok, wasn't so difficult, sometimes hard to get the right street. Without much thinking, one day booked my tickets and jumped into the train. My journey extended for 3.5 weeks.

The province in Russia was astonishing; the beauty of the girls was insane. I found myself drunk in strip clubs in Ekaterinburg, hanging out with beautiful girls in Siberia and the far east. English was a problem but I sorted it out until get the far east of Russia.

Vladivostok was a perfect place to stay for more days, girls are able to speak good English because they are in contact with Koreans and Chineses, communication wasn't a problem and again I felt welcome in that city.

Probably the most important advice of all for success in Russia.

I'm Southamerican, so once I'm in the Russian province that factor multiple sharply (pros and cons of course).

At the beginning I was more interested for pros some of my reports here showed my taste, is more easy if you don't spend much time in the city. But then my network of girls become bigger than I expected and normal girls were in my list as well. In the province, let's say Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok was way too easy to get girls, that's why I stayed more time than expected.
