A Russian friend and I were chatting about all the Moscow "options" and lamenting about the rise in prices for "take home" service. His conclusion was the $200 was pretty much minimum for anything decent. I still find nice girls for $150 occasionally.

In any case, we also spoke about other options and he said he likes to go to "Hotel Kosmos", a Russian hotel on Mira Prospect, and pick from a large group of girls there, who also have access to rooms in the hotel for servicing customers. Anybody have any experience with this? The hotel is reasonably priced for Moscow (standard rooms from $135) and could be interesting if there is decent pro action there. I will keep staying in apartments, but it could be a fun option for those bound to hotels.

That's interesting Doctor - Piper and I have a plan to check this place out.

On June 29 there is supposed to be a big "Romance Tour" social here.

Piper and I were going to set up shop in the bar or lobby and try to skim the cream off the stream of disappointed brides-to-be. So no experience with Hotel Cosmos yet, but a solid research program in place! And yes, the room prices seem quite reasonable for Moscow. Also one of the mail-order bride businesses (A Foreign Affair) has an office in the hotel, so there should be a trickle of eager young blood through there often.

I dont think that one city has girls inherently more GFE than others and I agree with Rovnak that YMMV in either city, as my experience with Moscow pros has shown that at least 75% will kiss... but most of my pros were of the take home type ala CF or NF. Am relatively inexperienced with salon pros in Moscow as it is too much of a hassle for me... or call it laziness. Kissing is not guaranteed in SPB either. If I go to Photomodeli for instance, and see the lineup, I usually ask to talk to the girl of my choice before making a final decision. I was there in january 04, saturday night, I arrived in Shemeretyevo 2 in afternoon and in evening immediately there, I get my first pro in Moscow, 100$ and even if not a GFE but good and much better than to sleep alone.

I totally agree with you that Hungry Duck is a sort dirty place in the sidestreet. I was there twice and both times felt uncomfortable and scared. Before 2001 Hungry Duck was considered THE must go to place in Moscow for loose women and wild parties.

Then Hungry Duck descended into a kind of sad pathetic existence in a parallel universe that wasn't quite Moscow, wasn't quite penitentiary... a truly despicable place only 2 minutes from the expat-friendly star of the early century, Karma Bar.

But recent reports suggest it might be headed back to old glory.... anybody been there recently?
