I'm currently sitting in the airport in Prague waiting for my connection to Moscow. I will be staying 13 nights this trip. I have 2 new girls that I am considering definites for this trip. 4 more new girls that I am considering prospects. 4 girls I have seen before but didn't have sex with (ended up in bed with one of them and had a great time) with at least 3 of them being solid prospects. There are still members of this board living/working in Moscow, but it seems they are so busy juggling their stable of Russian girlfriends that they don't have the time, or inclination, to report.

Strav, you are so right on this point. Juggling a few amateur girlfriends takes a lot of time and planning. I try to be as helpful as possible for visitors to Moscow, but so much of my information has no value to the casual sex tourist.

If you can speak Russian, then it's a little like jumping down the rabbit hole into another world of limitless sexual opportunities. Go back and read some of YummyPL's posts if you want to understand more about that.

I was there for business and if I was not I should leave there for Baku. Just 30 mins with car. More expensive but better choices.

You are forgetting that I love sex than sleeping! Of course I left the bed and get there in the freezing weather. I have to play some sledding on iced roads of Sumqayit with Taxi drivers. I was very lucky that could find a taxi and not involved in an accident.

You would need information about Russian history, culture, superstition, religion, not to mention the Cyrillic alphabet and Russian language. Plus a separate volume just on Russian women. You would need a staff of people to publish the constant updates and revisions that would be necessary.

It's easier to just read sextalk. Ru, that's the best mongering handbook for Moscow.

I think Jake is right, with all the touristas in Moscow today, more than ever, there is a need for info, not just about Moscow, but about Russia in general.

That's an excellent question. I've wondered about that myself.

Time was, it was a very closed group here on the Moscow board. There were several members of this board who lived/worked in Moscow and were willing to report on their experiences regularly, plus a few members who traveled to Moscow frequently and also kept us up to date with what was happening "on the ground".

But, as Jake says, the situation is much different now. Mongering in Moscow is not what it was. It's not as easy to pick up women for (paid) sex, at least not at a reasonable price. The Russian economy has improved to the point where a young woman in Moscow has many more opportunities available to her than simply selling herself. Which has it's good points and bad points. It seems the clubs nowadays are packed with young women looking to hook up with a guy, but that's not about money, you gotta have the game if you want to make that connection. There are still members of this board living/working in Moscow, but it seems they are so busy juggling their stable of Russian girlfriends that they don't have the time, or inclination, to report.

Which leaves us with the touristas. You're right, there does seem to be more foreigners in Moscow now. Every week we have a post from someone of the, Hi-I-will-be-in-Moscow-next-week-for-3-days-what-should-I-do? variety. And, of course, there's not much any Westerner can do in Moscow, unless you have huge amounts of cash to throw around.

Russia is still a very closed society, to the outside world. But within that society there is another kind of parallel universe that exists. If you can speak Russian, then it's a little like jumping down the rabbit hole into another world of limitless sexual opportunities. Go back and read some of YummyPL's posts if you want to understand more about that.

It's an interesting puzzle, Putin understands that the Russian economy can't rely on selling natural resources forever. He knows he has to open up the economy, and he gives a lot of lip service to things like direct foreign investment. But, on the other hand, the old KGB officer in him just can't seem to let go his grip.

It's a uniquely Russian riddle, wrapped, of course, in an enigma.

That's a very good question. I think it's two things; first, the nature of foreigners in Moscow has changed over the years and second, the nature of mongering in Moscow has changed a lot. It's not NEARLY as "in your face" as it once was and so there seems to be less to write about. Having said that, I suppose you could say that new comers to Moscow need information now more than EVER just for that very reason.
