Thanks to this forum I am staying at the Korsten Hotel. Got a great rate of $130 a night including taxes (rack rate is $180 plus) and man this place seems cool so far.

Free breakfast buffet was excellent. And with 6 or 7 restaurants on premises this should keep me busy.

And of course with Club 911 just downstairs I am looking forward to an interesting few weeks (I may be here for a month).

I am here to meet a gal I met online (I was married to a girl from moscow for 10 years) and see how that goes but in the meantime I am going to check out all Moscow has to offer. I have been to Russian 15+ times over the past 20 years but always SPB.

Anyone wants to grab a beer let me know. I will be reporting as I go along.

I will be paying the reg fee here shortly so I will be able to get PM's. I spent last year roaming China, Singapore and Phillipines.

Can't recall being there with you, Doc. Though I do remember an incident about a year ago, when our very own Jake called and woke me at 2am to tell me that it was 'pussy galore' at RM and that I needed to join him - drinks on him. I arrived around 2:30am to find Jake three (maybe four) sheets to the wind and a room full of ugly (though admittedly desperate and clearly ready-to-fuck) chicks. Being a man of high standards (unfortunately sometimes), no amount of alcohol ingestion could compensate for that level of foulness.

That said, I do like the bartenders and the Long Islands there. And the food ain't half bad either. Given its proximity to my pad (within stumbling distance of home), I'd be grateful if they were attracting better/younger talent these days.

Good luck on their US visas... Even though the US embassy claims that it issues visas to 90% of the Russians who apply, I've heard lots of stories of young Russian girls (and guys for that matter) getting denied. They must prove adequate income and a need to return to Russia (namely property, kid(s), employment, etc)..

Perhaps the Real McCoy is not what it used to be, but there is still hope.
