Hello forum!

I have a fairly generic question, which I am not even sure has a definitive answer, but here it goes (I have posted the same question in the Ukraine forum as well). I have the option of visiting either Russia or Ukraine early summer. Even though this may be early but given that this will be a work-related visit I need to do some leg work beforehand, which has me thinking about this question: where to visit? Russia (Moscow or possibly St Petersburg) or Ukraine (Kiev or any other city? I have about 10 days or so to myself after work is done and am looking mainly for freebies. I am not sure of the concept of semi-pros but that maybe an option too. I am in my early 30's and not bad looking. I had a great time recently in SEA and was hoping to repeat the same in Russia / Ukraine as I am very much into the women from this region. So if you were starting your adventures from one of these countries which one would it be? Of course this is if both are reasonably safe by the time of my visit. I understand that the political situation may make one (or even both) of these options moot.

My advice is to go back to SE Asia. P4 P is outrageously overpriced here and sercie is horrendous. What you will pay here for an hour of rushed, mediocre service (7-10 K Rubles) will buy you a week of GFE with a hot free lancer in Pattaya.

Just my 2 Kopeks worth.

Dude, it might be your Internet provider. I am in Moscow NOW and can get both of them no problem.

I can access that site from the United States (19:37 EST on November 17).

It may be the site itself prevents you from accessing it from a given country or perhaps the site was down earlier.

I don't remember very well about my expenses, since I was and vacation and my budget wasn't the problem, for me the city wasn't expensive not even the food in a good restaurant if I compared with Moscow, prices were lower than Moscow for sure. I wanted to stay more time in Khabarosvk but my guess is that is better on weekends than normal days.

As far as I have been able to work out, Dolce Vita has been closed, as have many other salons. Anyone have suggestions for an ok salon, anything from 2500 to 8000 roubles per hour?

Stayed there couple of times in the last 10 yrs. Morbide charme of former soviet times, photos of all leaders of USSR and mostly other communist states etc who stayed there on the walls.

In former years, min. 5-10 girls (6-9 on 1-10 scale) were hanging out between lobby and elevators. Bored with there cocktails later at night. Occasionally they walk up to you and ask for "massage". They charge rather high prices, try to start with 2-300 USD. Never engaged with them since travelling with business partners. Heard from colleagues, that it may be more an average to rip-off service.

Khabarovsk, is the first city from the far east Russia, full of beautiful girls. You should visit as well, believe me the far east is just different. I hooked up with one girl who helped me out to find my place in the city, I just got off the station and she was curious about my origin, she offered me her help and we ended up drinking vodka and having dinner later on, she was 19 year old Nice person who wanted some fun. But the city was full of beauties.

So it makes total three cities worth a visit.

I may be wrong here, but very little has been written about the saunas in Moscow. In fact, I can't remember anything being written in ANY of the FSU forums. I had the pleasure of partaking in a Moscow sauna last week and I thought I would share my experience.

There are literally hundreds of saunas in Moscow. Maybe even thousands. As the word implies, at the heart of the experience is a sauna and shower. But many if these little gems usually have a bar, karaoke machine, perhaps a pool table, dart board. Some will even have a plunge pool and even a swimming pool for your enjoyment. And of course there are usually at least one or two private "relaxing" rooms that have a bed in each.

These private saunas should not be confused with the more public 'banya' which is a time honored tradition in Russia. I am sure that someone out there can probably enlighten us as to the technical difference between 'banya' and 'sauna' but I will leave that to someone more worldly than me.

The particular sauna my colleagues and I visited was in central Moscow and had a nice (but small) changing area where you strip off your clothes and put on either a bath robe or towel (bed sheet) depending on your preference and of course the obligatory 'tappochki' (slippers)...
