It's a blue door entrance (glass door) without a sign on it. It took me a while to find it. No need to book, you can just show up.

I rode the skoro poezd from Piter to Moscow once, long time ago. We traveled all night. Didn't have wi-fi, just a very quarrelsome dyezhurnaya, but I was able to get a glass of chai in the morning. I actually enjoyed riding the train, and, as you point out, it is very convenient to arrive in the center of the city, as opposed to one of the airports outside of town. If I was in Moscow now, I think it would be interesting to take the train from Moscow to Simferopl. Putin has suggested to the transportation authorities that they should provide inexpensive fares to his new territorial capital, you can get round trip to Simferopl for about half the cost of your ticket to Piter.

As I mentioned previously, I'm slowly redecorating her apartment because our agreement is more or less I make a present to her of one part of the renovation each time we meet. My thankfully brief recent visit to Moscow.

Rented an apartment in StPb. Hotel in Moscow. Found the apartment on Airbnb. Highly recommend it. More and more Russians are advertising their apartments on Airbnb and you can negotiate directly with the owner. In most cases you can also arrange for them to meet you at the airport, either for free or for the normal taxi charge. You can also check out the locations of the apartments on Airbnb and contact multiple owners. I'm paying around 63$ a night for a very nice studio 10 minutes walk from the metro. Great price for StPb. Hotel found on booking.com

One of the fast trains. Four hours. Total cost roundtrip about 6500 rubles. Highly recommend the train if your visiting both cities. Professionally run. Comfortable. And you end up in the city, not out at one of the airports. You can buy the tickets on the internet. Carry food and drink with you. They do sell food and drink on the train. Much more expensive. Unfortunately, the seats only recline in the business section. You can also get wifi, but it's only free in the business section.

Although simply taking a 50 minute plane to Moscow ain't bad either. Cost is around the same. I did travel on the train with a colleague, so having company on the train may have been why it left a good impression on me. That and you can use the toilet and walk around any time you want. However all flights, domestic and international, have moved into the new terminal at Pulkovo in St Pb, so the airport experience is much better there now. Bus and small mini bus to the nearest metro is #39.

Had some business the first day, but stayed two extra nights to meet with Natasha Long Blond Hair (175cm/mid 20s) who drove to Moscow to meet with me. We stayed in a hotel which I won't recommend. The price was reasonable for Moscow. 6600 rubles for two nights, but we ended up getting charged extra charges for a variety of petty things.

She has one big downside. She likes Moscow. She even looks forward to going there. She even wants to go there. Takes all kinds.

Anyway, she did bring her car and I was driven around to her favorite haunts and a couple of mine, but none of these were bars or clubs. Just favorite places to eat and walk and such. Neither one of us plays the High-Octane-Moscow game. Though I will say giving her an opportunity to dress up and wear heels is a very good idea. Given the time of year and the holidays, traffic wasn't bad, and the weather was great. It was freezing in St Pb and sunny and relatively warm in Moscow. Go figure. How is it even possible such an awful city can ever have good weather? I can even say not having to navigate the Moscow metro slightly improved my opinion of the city. Its gone from an armpit without deodorant to an armpit with deodorant.
