Hi,

Hot Dogs used to be one of my favorite bars. Now unfortunately it is closed. What happened to the bar. Where did all the girls go.

The Real Mccoy also closed so another favorite bar gone.

Che is impossible to get in let's say after 10:00-11:00 in the evening so forget this place. Seems that Moscow is getting boring to go out.

I went to Hot Dogs on Sunday 8th December and was surprised to find it closed. Always had a love hate relationship with the place, but usually had fun there. I called an old GF from Hot Dogs and she told me that all the girls are moving to Concert. Which is about 200m furher along the road (same side) as HD. Apparently there was trouble with the mamochka not paying the police their cut from the girls' 2000rub exit fee. Not sure if the police closed it, or if its going to be redeveloped (which was mooted a few years ago).

Its true that lots of Moscow institiutions that were expat friendly have closed (started with the Exile IMHO) but there are still thousands of unexplored and unreported bars and clubs full of what we're all looking for. Just got to be brave and get stuck in.

hamburger was terrible but i am sure rest of the menu is nice.

true, on thursday nights they have a "belly dancers" that perform every 20 minutes. which is kinda fun. as for the waitresses, beware! while they are all cute and will flirt a little several of them have boyfriends who are face control at molly gwinn's who don't appreciate you hitting on their chicks.

Another place that become VERY good for picking up non-pro girls is Life Pub.

It's near metro Baumanskaya. Very good place on Friday nights. Good crowd and lots of girls. Good band most weekends. Good dance floor and DJ after the band.

There always seems to be a lot of girls there either celebrating a birthday or some such other occasion. And generally not may foreigners which IMHO is a good thing when trying pick up local girls.

Moscow boring? Please. You're just getting lazy. Plenty of replacement places to go of equal or better quality if you just read the forum! Just depends what you are looking for. For non-pros, a few off the top are Old School Pub, the NEW Papas Place (where Club Pacha used to be). Kukle Pistoleta (Dolls with Guns) near metro Mendeleyevskaya and The Standard. And there is a new place opening up this weekend called Beavers2 which is a Hooter's knock off. The list goes on and on so please don't tell us Moscow is getting boring.

If you are looking for a Hooker Bar like Hot Dogs used to be you will be a little disappointed. This kind of bar has gone underground lately with the exception of Night Flight. Having said that, if you go into almost ANY bar in Moscow after 23:00 and look for the girls hanging around the bar, you will find working girls.

Not sure it is the smoking and drinking that causes them to age badly. In my opinion mostly for Russian girls it's the getting fat at 30 that causes them to age badly and I put this down to smothering their food with mayonnaise and also all the fast food they now eat

Yeah, that's a REALLY interesting question. In their 20's they ALL eat cakes and sweets and it does not seem to affect them. But at 30, all of sudden it's someone pulls a ripcord and then "vhoom". Now, this is a terrible generalization because I know plenty of Russian women in their 30's and even 40's who keep slim and trim. But these seem to be from a particular genetic group being really small boned. I think the give away is the legs. If you see skinny ankles and slim thighs, she going to to keep slim. But if she's got chubby ankles and generous thighs, watch out. Ha, ha. Funny how this thread went from health to spotting fat chicks.
