I had never heard of this venue, but just checked their FB page, it seems very cool, good mix of trendy and drinking hole under one roof. How much do cocktails range in price? (I guess from about 300 to 400 rubles, but I might be wrong)

So My first day in Moscow:

The first thing I did was to go get some meal in order to fight the jet lag and eat dinner. Jake is right Tanuki, now I am REALLY on a mission to get in to this place with an endorsement like that. So you clearly did not have a membership so how did you skirt not having a card and get in? I am all ears!

As was posted, you can certainly get in with another member. Now, a couple guys noted that the "relevant" age is more 30-35. That was the approximate age of the unaccompanied ladies I saw there. I'm a couple decades over that, so the target age range looks mighty tasty. With only a couple fat outliers in the sample group over 2 consecutive Saturday nights, the rest were in the 6. 5 to 8. 5 looks categories, from my view. Some of you guys may be hunting for younger stuff, but for me it was about as good as it gets in life. Also, I just think the place is great fun. First off, the food is traditional, cheap and you get lots of it. The drinks are also much cheaper than other pubs I've gone to there. Third, the music and dancing is a total party. Everyone gets drunk as hell and they all dance together and I just think it's fantastic. The very odd decor makes it one of the more unique places. Highly recommended!

This is very true. The decor of Petrovich is kind of an "in" joke for those people who are old enough to remember the Soviet Union. The decor is packed with old Soviet memorabilia, which now seems very innocent and kitsch-y.

Doesn't mean the younger crowd can't enjoy it and have a good time, but the place is clearly marketed to the over-30 crowd.

Strangely enough, one of the best high end strip clubs is right across the street from your hotel. It's called The Loft. In addition to being a strip club, the staff and taxi drivers outside can be an invaluable source of information regarding "illicit delights". That is of course assuming that you CAN'T get what you want at The Loft. Enjoy yourself!

That's all I have to go on at this point. But I am open to other suggestions for the private club scene. I clearly have no understanding of the city and what it has to offer but I want to learn and know what I can and as much as I can before I get there. Have you been to Barry Bar (same street than Coyote Ugly)? Nice venue (but no dancefloor) , humanely priced, that seemed to be a favorite before-club hangout for fashionable 25-30 yo women with good jobs. Moscow is definitely a hunting paradise.

Can you tell me, possibly offline if that's better, how to get a membership at Petrovich or some other sweet member only club. Or worst case, how we can possibly get In with someone who has a membership. We are there on a Saturday night. Budget is not an issue, within reason of course, but would like to discuss this with you. It's a big priority for us to get in to one of these places. Went to one in London once and it was sick! I know it won't be easy but would like to try.

You mentioned other salons other than those listed earlier, care to elaborate? And the massage parlors? Which ones are the best and how much for FS? And if we do the strip clubs, how much can we expect to pay for FS there? I imagine they will be a little pricier than the salons or massage parlors. Again, the budget is not an issue, within reason. Yeah, probably best to get a membership. Certain things should not be discussed in open forum.

1. Other salons. Hmmm, I have put myself on the spot haven't I? Off the top of my head I can't think of the names and addresses but give me a few days to think. But most of these will be decidedly more downscale than the three listed earlier.

2. The Strip Clubs. Entrance is 1, 000 rubles (more or less). Lap dances are from 100 to 500 rubles depending on the girl and your mood. Girl is topless and grabbing is moderately encouraged. Private dances are about 1, 000 and girls is naked. You can do whatever you can get away with. Full sex in the private room with shower, bed, etc is 8, 000 to 10, 000 rubles depending on the night depending on the girl, etc. Usually an hour. There are SLIGHT variances from club to club depending on how they are licensed. For example, The Loft and Penthouse are technically registered as hotels. So if you want to take a girl for sex you rent a room and pay the girl for her services separately. This CAN affect the price depending on the night, the club, the girl, etc.

3. Massage parlors tend to be your basic "rub & tug" places. They advertise massage to get around the laws but the girls will offer you sex. Standard massage if about 3, 000 rubles and FS will cost you an additional 3, 000 depending on the girl, blah, blah blah. As for where to go? Cripes, that depends on where you are located.
