You might be overlooking an obvious choice in finding women by themselves in any country: the food markets. First off, everybody eats. Though some folks don't cook much, they will be in the markets from time to time to get at least coffee and bread. It's perfect because they are not likely to bring the little kids with them, and you have a lot of potential ice-breakers there as a non-Russian."Can you tell me a good brand of coffee?" or "I need some chocolate for my co-workers back home; what's the best?" Things like that. Once you've figured out she speaks your language you can start hitting her up for the next phase. You nailed it in one. About 2 years ago, a colleague on mine (from Canada no less) was in Moscow on his first business trip to Moscow. Spoke absolutely NO Russian whatsoever and was staying in a services apartment that I had arranged for him near Pushkinskaya. One afternoon, he wandered over to Yeliseevsky (Historic Grocery Store on Tverskaya) looking for some gifts to take home for his daughter. He was standing in front of the chocolate rack trying to decide which Russian chocolates would be the best choice. I kid you not, but a 31 year old very hot looking woman came over to him, while he was holding a box of chocolates trying to read the label, and offered to help him select a box. She spoke reasonable English and has picked him out as a foreigner offering to help. 15 minutes later he had her phone number and had arranged to take her to dinner the following night after which he took her back to the apartment and screwed her brains out!

Living in Moscow is very expensive, but for me it is really worth it! Rio and Buenos Aires are nice in January and February as the weather is nice and life is not so expensive, but as far as sex is concern, Moscow is way better (IMHO).

But you would be surprised at how many women under 40 speak English these days in Moscow. And you don't need to be a pick up artist. Just relax, speak slowly and simply. Use vocabulary that you would use as if speaking to a young child because if they are only learning English then that's what they know.

And what do you talk about? Start with the weather. If the weather is great, then talk about how great the weather is. If the weather is shit, then talk about how terrible it is and talk about how nice it would be to go somewhere sunny and warm. And then ask them why their boyfriend / husband does not take them somewhere warm and sunny? This is a critical question because in the next response you will learn what the status of her relationship is and whether she is available for sex so listen carefully.

Speaking a little Russian is necessary, but then there are a lot of women between 25 and 50 (they claim less) that are looking to have sex with a decent guy. I rode the Metro to Bratislavskaya first, and then grabbed a car to go find the club. Had to take a car home because the Metro had shut down for the night.

I did not feel threatened at any time in the area around Bratislavskaya. It's a perfectly safe neighborhood, as safe as central Moscow. But, if you don't speak or read Russian, you will have difficulty getting around and finding things.

If you don't speak or read Russian and you will only be in Moscow for one night, it's best to stay in the center of town. Go to some big club like Aurora. Plenty of girls there to choose from, walking around in various states of déshabiller. It's a little like an FKK: grab a girl and take her to the room. Only difference is, it's gonna cost you a lot more the 60/70 Euro a pop. But it will be the most efficient use of your time, if not your money.
