Both long-term Moscovites, though not native (ie born here).

So, I can't help but wonder... when it comes to Секс в Большом Городе (Sex in the City), are the heady days of mongering in Moscow at an end?. Is Moscow now only for those with; the game, the money, the wardrobe or the language skills to differentiate themselves from the rest of us mere mortals?

Hard for me to judge, since I have all of those.

I mean it doesn't fit my taste. There are clubs with crowds on those days (notably Che and Papa's) but the male:female ratio sucks, and maybe the environment and/or service as well. In general, I want a club with:
a) decent prices (cover and drinks)
b) decent male to decent female ratio (which can be quite different from raw male:female ratio, as you're evaluating how much real competition you'll have in the club for the good looking girls there)
c) decent service (from friendly face control to punctual wait staff)
d) decent music (I'm flexible and enjoy good house, hiphop and retro if the mood fits, but appreciate a talented DJ who can judge the collective mood of the crowd and compensate)

By those criteria, there's virtually nothing worth visiting Sun-Weds. Sad... but true. If someone has a counter-example, by all means let me know and I'll meet you there this week!

My very humble opinion (although based on extensive worldwide research for the past 15 years) is that Moscow is not too different compared to any major capital in terms of accessibility for the top end of the female stock (the top model types). There are lots of local guys with plenty of cash who easily can beat you in the same way that an investment banker would do in London or a rich daddy's boy in Munich. Let's also bear in mind many beauties already fleed the country to either marry or work as escorts.

What I believe Moscow has a lot to offer is an abundant amount of well educated, eager to please, intelligent, very decent looking girls on their mid twenties who need to compete for a relatively reduced amount a local guys. You often find on the street two or even three girls walking with her female friend and her boyfriend because they have no one decent to go out with and are not willing to lower their standards (yet). I have discussed this many times with girls and they confess it is indeed sadly (for them) the case. These girls do not necessarily would shag the first night, many of them would not even go out often to night clubs, but they are all over of the place unlike in our western countries.

Reading your report, it seems to me I can remember a time (not too many years ago) when tochkas took dollars, and the top tier might be 250-300: for that price you would have a selection of some fairly babelicious dyeffki. A midnight tochka run would probably have yielded many tochkas with plenty of choice for all 3 of you, and, while the male comraderie of hunting dyeffki can be fun, everyone would wake up with a smile on their face and a girl in their bed (who does not look like Alla Pugachova).

I suppose you would be flying, cause Moscow to Berlin or Praha is 2000 Km, you should better not go through Belarus but Latvia, Lithuania. If you are driving

Consider also that it's not all motorways, so I think you'll be flying By car you would need 2 days.

In Germany there's nothing you won't find in Praha, you have the FKKs that don't exist in Praha plus all the rest But Praha is really smaller than Berlin, for example, you can navigate the city very easy and just follow the flow and jump from one club to another, privates, showpark. Very enjoyable. If you decide Berlin, do your homework before hitting, cause the city is huge (at least according to my standards).
