I will not hide my destinations but will reveal it to everyone interested and willing to go there. This list is no in particular order, only based in my experiance and with some explanations. Also I concentrated on larger places (like one million population)which has a good infrastructure for mongering like accomodation, places to eat and places to have fun like going out in the night.. Because of the girl mix there. Especially muslim ones like Tatar, Azeri and Tajik. This girls are very willing (everythnig is available, like freebies, pros, semipros) beucase of their mostly strickt upbringig. Rostov-on-Don is definitelly a great destination in Russia for those who are in Ukraine and want to make a little trip to Russia but don't want to bother with Moscow. Especially if you're are in Donbass just jump over the border and you're there and latter back to Ukraine without much hassle. Famous Don cossack have daughters that will make your blood boil. Especially if you dare to ride horses or shoot AK-47 with them. It will be a big plus for you in their eyes. Also there's a selection of various girls from Caucasus like Georgian, Chechen, Dagestani, Ingush, etc. They make scene interesting both for freebies and p4p. Lukasek hope you will like the movie. But to really understand it the knowledge of Russian is needed. There is english version of the movie called "The spot" but it is not translated but synchronized in english. Not very well in my opinion since good portion od dialogs are not translated or translated into sense of english language. There's also another Russian movie fro few years back called "? " which can be translated as "My word is stone" which also has it's part of prostitues but this time asian one from Kazahstan and Vietnam. The movie is brutal.

Jake in 1992 the choice between Moscow and Rio you took the good one. At that time Moscow was a wild place. Russians got their freedom and many had the impression this freedom means everythig is allowed.

Yes during soviet times Moscow was pretty much like any other megapolis. To hear stories about it the best sourse are older people those older than 50 plust they are triple rooted Moscowites (meaning they were born in Moscow, raised in Moscow and still living in Moscow). Most people don't want to talk about prostitution and crime in soviet times simply because they like to say this things came with capitalism and they never existed in the past. Well they existed all right only with fall of the SSSR they simply came into the open. Even now if you mention prostitutes, criminals and drug addicts in Moscow many people will say "they are not ours they all came from former soviet rublics". Party true but not entirely. Moscow in the past have even their own serial killers like "red killer" from 1968 and "doctor" killer from 1980 during Moscow olympics. Speaking about Moscow olympics in August 1980 president Brezhnev himself ordered the massive clean up ofo Moscow. It meant that soviet army rellocated about 600 000 (yes it's 600 000) people who were "socialy suspicious" (meaning drunkards, criminals, prostitues) from Moscow during time of Olympics so they will not show a different side of SSSR. They were sent to Belarus to clean the swamps around Minsk (latter new parts of the city were build there) and also to Siberia to cut timber.

Not manythen were different form now. In the old soviet times Yaroslav and Smolensk road were there also and tochkas were there also. Main cutomers were truckers (as they are today), police left tochkas alone if they give them for free (the same today), in soviet times tochaks gave blowjobs for 10 roubles, today it's 10$ (only the currency changed). Very famous were tochaks operating around small town on Smolensk road called Gagarinovo. Yes Yuri Gagarin was born there. This was a public secret in Moscow, everybody knew about that. Every Saturday morning hundreds of men were gathering at Belaruskaya train station getting into local train to Gagarin. They all were going to Vazuzkoe lake locating near Gagarin for fishing, taking their fishing equipment with them. Yes some were fishing and some were fishing tochkas. Most of this tochkas were women 30-40 and every Moscow boy of 15 and up were dreaming to loose virginity with some experianced 40 year old tochka around Gagarinovo, populary called "gagarinki". Especially if it was a birthday present from family member. Sometime it was a father but usually it was a uncle or something. Usually father or uncle would come to young boy and say "boy get ready for this Saturday we are going fishing at Vazuzkoe lake". The boy never went fishing before but he know what this mean. Now when I think about this gagarinki from like 30 years ago I wonder how many of their daughters and granddaughters continued the family tradition.

Only this time they don't need to hide and they operate much closer to their home like in Moscow downtown or Moscow suburbs.

In soviet times hotels in Moscow were divided into those for soviet citizens only and those for foreigners only. In this hotels for foreigners soviet citizens were stricktly forbidden unless they work there. Some of this hotels were "Belgrad", "Warsawa", after the Olympics "Cosmos", "Izmilovo Vega".

Working girls were in the open there and it was no problem to take them into your room. Rules were simple. The girls gathered in hotel restaurant, not before 6PM and they had to leave before midnight. Maximum of 10 girls were available and the quality was at least to say average. They were connected with hotel managment obviously. After choosing the girl you should go to the reception where the guy worked. In soviet hotels men were always working at the afternoon and night. The guy had some basic knowledge of some foreign language and he would tell you the price ifor the girl is two times the price of your room. So the price was usually in the range 50-100$ which was high if we have in mind the worker in some big factory had a sallry of 50-70$.

The girl could stay only for one hour and you could take maximum of two girls per night. Even then many foreigners didn't took this service. Out of fear the girls were from KGB, which could be true. Spreading the legs in the service of Motherland. But most common thig was this girls would steal anything from you they ofund valuable or interesting. Money, watch, photo camera, clothers, you name it. They even had a special tactics. They would steal two things from you one usually being some small crap and hide this small thing in the bathrom. Then they would take a bread load cut in half and put newspaper inside and hide it in the bathroom also. Most foreigners went to the recption to complain that girl stole something from them and then there was investigation. They would find small thing hidden in the bathrom and directly confront you in the style "you hidd this by yourself in order to give bad name to our hotel so you probably hidd your money/watch/whatever also or simply lost it". And then they would bread with newspaper and they would make comments in the style look at this this foreigner is crazy we will call the police to clear this up. Of course many foreigners didn't want to mess with soviet police so they would keep their mouth shout.

As you can see Jake in in the early '90-ies many tochaks from Moscow suburbs came to downtown plus many arrived from other parts of former SSSR. But today things are in revers the police chased them away back into suburbs. So things are in constant change in Moscow and Russia in general.

I remember some years back when I was in Blagoveschensk on the Chinese border and I had two Chinese girls (good looking) for whole night doing them what I wanted for 50$ both. They were gabling addicts, they needed money for casino and made me offer I couldn't refuse. They told me that in Chinese language name for Russia means "big, dangerous and unpredictable place" and I guess it is the right description.

Bezz my opinon why I said about provinces when compared to Moscow some places are the same, some are worse and some are better. I will not mention StP because I've never been there. But many people in StP will say that Moscow is the biggest province of them all while in Moscow they will say StP is worst than any province (what ever this mean). For Russian provinces there's different distances. Sit in a train that rides one hour from Moscow and it will take you to the towns like Himki, Odincovo, Podolsk, Elektrostal or Kalinigrad (not it's not Kaliningrad on Baltic sea but Kaliningrad near Moscow).

Most of this towns are run down industrial places. There's no need to stay there since Moscow is just jump away and prices mostly keep at the moscow level. People living in this places are mostly with "we hate Moscow" attitude.

Most of population was brought from other parts of Soviet union when industralization started but they were prohibited to go to Moscow. But visit any of this cites at Friday and Saturday evening, go to some bar, night club or simply walk down the streets. You will be surprised to see there almost no young women there even the low quality ones. Because great majority of them are in Moscow working as weekend ho's. They hate Moscow enough to to go there on permanent basis but like Moscow enough to make their money there. Then lets go to the city like Ivanovo and Rjazan. This places are big Russian military bases and there's plenty of military officers there. Great majority of them are bringing their children in the old soviet military patriarchal style. Which resulted many girls are very hard to approach, they can simply tell you "get lost creep" or even sream for help an then few guys will approach you with desire to beat you up. P4p is almost non existing. Once I asked a girl in Ivanovo quite innocently "what a man can do for fun in Ivanovo regarding sex". She got very mad with me and told me if I want that sort of girls who lost control over their live (exact words she used) then I shuold have stayed in Moscow. So if you're interested in freebies/p4p comaping this places with Moscow they are "worse" but if you are not interested in this then this places are "better". Let's go up north to Archangels for example. Foreigners are very rare sight there so girls can simply give it for free because you're a foreigner arranging everythnig over a single drink. So in this aspect it's much "better" than Moscow. But keep in mind being a rare foreigner there you will certainly bring attention to few guys who can pull the knife or a gun on you and robb you. Archangels is not a place in great shape, ni dicent places to stay and eat, no to mention all those nuclear submarines stroed there and leaking their radiation around.

Let's go to Nizhny Novgorod. Freebies, p4p, good night life. "Same" as Moscow only on smaller scale of course. Plus many girls in the port waiting for those Volga cruise too see if there will be customers and sponsors for them. To their dissapointment most of those tourists are old. I mean old. If you're not (too) old then you there's a space for fun in Nizhny Novgorod. Let's step over to Siberia. Ekateriburg which is far "better" than Moscow.compared to population it seems Ekaterinburg have much more developed prostituion than Moscow. Many of pros and semi pros are in Ekaterinburg, many of them will let you make porn movie for like 1500 roubles. When girl in Ekaterinburg becomes know as a local prostitue she packs up a and goes to Moscow where she's introduced as fresh talent from Ekaterinburg but basically she alreadu got some mileage. This is some of my conclusions. Yuo may agree or not, no problem about that. It's just depends what are your priorities. Some will be better than Moscow and some worse dendin how you look at it. For those who will stay in Russia for like 4-5 days and sex is one of the reason then is much better to go to Moscow or StP of course. Provinces need some time to work thing out even them it doesn't mean everything will be as you expected. Reading your reports Bez it is cler that you stay in provnces 2-3 weeks (in one place I guess) and not 4-5 days. When I go to Russian provinces I usually stay from 2-3 weeks and some time even 3-4 months.

I was first time in Moscow in 1987, staying in the famous Intourist hotel. There was in the bar there with working girls, some I also saw at breakfast, I think they stayed in the hotel as a part of the staff))? Most of them were not interesting, but I had one that was really good.

You seem to be a new in Moscow coming for the first time in 2005. When talking to people in Moscow they all agree the wildest time in Moscow were in the early '90-ies under Yeltsin and today things are more or less normal.

You are correct, before my first visit in 2005 I was completely ignorant of Moscow and the rest of Russia for that matter. I nearly got transferred to Moscow in 1992 but instead ended up in Rio de Janeiro. Hmmm - I can't say really which would have been better.

In any case, I really do appreciate your insight on prostitution in general during Soviet times. No one seem to want to talk about it but based on your comments, it does sound like it was pretty much like any other megalopolis. In particular, your point about migration from the suburbs to downtown explains some of the comments I have heard from people in Moscow. It now makes more sense to me.

That's why I like these forums, there's always someone who knows more about a particular topic than I do.

In 1932 comrade Stalin simply said: "We can not count on 30% of soviet citizens not because they don't like our SSSR and our soviet system. But because they are criminals, easy women, drunkards, etc. They are on the bottom and they should stay there and we must not do anything to help them coming from the bottom". Many people took this for granted. In Russia today people don't care about prostitues, junkies, criminals, drunkards they just let them end their life cycle. Opposit to the west where there are those counceling for the prostitutes (too bring them back to the right track), for the junkies and drunkards (too keep them clean), for criminals in prisons (to make them reform), etc. In Russia it's simple. If a child leave a home a became a prostitute or a junkie the parents in most cases simply forgot about it. In Russian prisons 90% of inmates are never visited by their families and not even receiving letters. It's just like that. In Moscow it's just a endless circle. Having said that, as the good Doctor and others will attest to, there is plenty of semi pro and amateur action to be had in the clubs and bars. True, it does not have the "sure thing" aspect of an HD or NF, but it's there none-the-less.

If you compare Moscow today to the 90's, you are seeing a very different place socioeconomically. Respectability is back vogue, social standing is important again and hanging out in a bar turning tricks is not cool. Prostitution is an interesting study in itself. In a stable society, it occupies a predictable place in the social strata and carries certain social stigmas that tend to relegate it to the dark alleys and the seedy bars. Oh, yes, don't let me forget about the personal ads and the massage parlors. Even in authoritarian regimes, (as any USSR comrade would have told you) it has a place but people just don't talk openly about it.

But in transitional society, it comes out into the open. Not just for foreigners but for anyone with money. People looking to make money from people who have it. Read enough history and you will see that right after any major war, pestilence, or natural disaster the bartering for the most basic human needs begins.

I think we are seeing the very end of a phase in Moscow (The provinces of course are another matter). Crisis or no crisis, Moscow society has developed to the point where people have options and don't really need to change their lifestyles that drastically. On my first trip to Moscow in 2005, my host told me that a recent TV poll of 15 year old school kids showed that most girls wanted to be high class prostitutes and boys wanted to be gangsters. I think the same poll today would yield a dramatically different result.

But please don't get so emotional. In Russia every tochka/pro/freebie have some sad story about her life and she's doing what she's doing because of her hard life. I just don't buy that crap. Those tochkas are doing that mostly for the money of course. They come to Moscow for any reason see the big city with bright lights and want everything what it offers. But it costs money.

For fresh tochkas the best time is September. Many of them come to Moscow in September to start their university and you can be shure some (bigger or smaller) part of them will become tochkas. Many of them are already tochkas in their home town. Once I was riding the train from Ekaterinburg to Moscow and in my car there were 5 girls going to Moscow to start their university, they were all 19 years old. And they were openly talking how they will start their tochka careers as soon as they arrive in Moscow. They alredy contacted another girl from Ekaterinburg who was in Moscow for one year and was a tochka of course and she will show them how to get money "in the suburbs". And they were talking how they will spend their money on Gucci this, Prada that, this shopping center, this night club, etc. I was sure they already have tochka experiance from Ekaterinburg, on the road to Tyumen. Who knows maybe they started when they were 14.

For a typical Russian tochka is w***e and nothing else and she will be treated like one. Russian police is pushing tochkas further and further away and even now there are reports of how gang of tochkas robbed some russian guy but he's afraid to report to police becuase his wife will hear about it.

Take a while now please and let's go back in 2004, my first time to Russia, alone as a dog in Moscow, I got the lucky to meet Guido88 at Hungry Duck (great club in that period.....) that read from Ca_T or from Doc Skank here about tochka.......my little vocabolary did not have this word, so what could it really means ?

It was january and -16C.,I was so afraid to go out of Hungry Duck and take the first ordinary car,( Guido88 let it to me to say with my basic russian if the driver knows tochka LOL ) afraid cause it was something totally strange and new to go with normal car in the middle of night looking for....an old woman at some cross road with a red star on her hat.... snow everywhere, the city looked so dark, in some part far from center Moscow is so ugly and dark you cannot imagine, if you never been there....

Afraid when the driver stopped the car and got from the woman the instructions hot to get where tochka was, another couple of streets smaller and smaller and smaller between suburbs in Moscow to end inside a small parking where I was sure they could easily kidnapp both us and Guido88 is a big guy lol but... there was 3 sort of minibus or very little camion with black windows..... another old woman smiling to us and writing on piece of paper 50, 100, 200 ($) and once you choose one number and showed her with your finger, she screamed out loud in that dark night at the parking the number and suddendly all the girls of that range of prices got out of the cars and in front of us opened their coats showing us their lingierie....at -16C.....

Suddenly you lost the fear and the biggest problem is to choose one girl between many nice girls all smiling to you cause they saw you are foreigner and they know very well how usually a foreigner is gonna to behave with them....

Yes, dear Jake993 in some way you really need a truly spirit of adventure to do all that long and complicated process that take you to get a truly gem from provincies without the need to go till Jet Club

But once you avoid the security at your hotel or once you bribe him, if you not have a flat, you end to be in your bedroom with somebody speaks only russian, that she is more afraid than you and that you have to pay attention to behave with her good, but not too good, or she really can fall in love with you, cause, I saw it very well, they never had the lucky to meet a man polite during their so hard work as tochka. ( Doc Skank wrote a great report about it... )

Another great thing is when you not jump on her once you close the door, but when you open vodka and start to have conversation with her, in 2004 with vocabolary, without last time, you get really to know a story of ordinary special girl so brave, most of times sad story about her life, you discover the person that almost not decide to became a pro, she just had to do it, cause she born where, thousands km so far from Moscow, there is the fucking nothing, the kind of pro will never think to spend the hard money she earns to buy.....Iphone....

You really enjoy that slowly way to communicate and you end to get drunk with her and most of all, drunk for her, you could also feel so sorry listening her life, that you almost forget you buy her body to have sex with, but when after a couple of hours, you realize it is only midnight and you have a lot of time till morning.... you can decide to be "crazy" for the second time in the same night and to invite her out for a late dinner AS IF she was a normal girl.... and you become closer and closer to her sooo quickly, you start to appreciate how sweet her heart truly is and more than the need to fuck her, you desire....to kiss her.... after couple of hours like this, she feel wonderful with you, cause you are the strange foreigner searching on the vocabulary one more word and speaking her native russian with such a funny sound makes her smile all the times and you love so much the way now so far from the place you picked her up she smiles and you are the one was interested to listen her life and indeed it helps so much to her, to open up a little and to join with you her unlucky life, you maybe will see her to smile for the first time after you try to joke in russian and her eyes....shine as well and still no sex....

You go back to your flat or hotel and you still have 5-6 hours to spent with her and at this time, you can even decide to not have sex with her, no matter, she feels in need to give the best GFE you ever had, cause you... just listened her !

Think.....after making love with her, to have her holding you and falling asleep as a child.... you will thank Russia to exist, you will thank yourself you decided to go through the long process to get visa, book flight and get inside Russia, thank yourself to try tochka and you will wish her from the deep of your heart, real and truly good luck, cause she indeed deserves it all !

When at the morning she leaves, you wish to have in future one life just to spend with her, cause she gave you in one night much more than your ex-wife or girlfriend in....YEARS, you hold her one more never ending time, you-I....I went out in the white streets, I start to smoke my cigarette looking for where to have breakfast getting frozen cause mabye was even colder the day before and maybe for the first time as monger feeling so, so great, cause for some hours you gave to a totally uknown girl the feeling to be loved and appreciated as human being, something we ALL sooner or later need and something maybe she never tried before and mabye she will never have the lucky to live again....

That's probably good advice. I have only done Tochka once but you are right, it was lots of fun. And yes, she was about 20 y.o. and fresh off the train from Krasnoyarsk. In fact, I went to give her a little DATY and she thought I was some sort of pervert. She did enjoy it once she got over the initial shock..... but that's another story.

Maybe it's time to make a return trip to the Tochka. I have a Muscovite friend that has what appears to be a broken down Zhiguli. In fact, while it looks like a piece of shit, it runs like a sports car. He's always offering to take me to the Tochka with him acting as taxi driver. Time to take him up on the offer....
