You can forget about Safari Lodge. It was closed down some months ago. However, I have heard a rumor that they may be re-opening. I walk by there on Saturday afternoon and took a photo of the place just for old time's sake. You can still see the old "Bankomat" where I withdrew countless rubles... sniff, sniff. I'm getting weepy just thinking about the good old days. Now it's called "Elegant Hotel & Cafe" - how classy.

I still have not been able to find a substitute for the old place. I think some have had luck with a new place near the Kempinski called Violete but I have not tried it. I stuck my head in Divas a while back but it's just not the same. Too expensive. Wrong attitude. Sigh.

Ok, its been a while I was in Moscow. This time I would like to go for a Tochka girl, but I do know anything about the latest developments.

This time I will stay at the Holiday Inn Lesnaya, close to prospect Mira.

Back in the States now so I had better write something up about Moscow before the “old melon” forgets everything. This was the last stop on a three city tour of Russia after Saint Petersburg and Ufa.

I arranged for an apartment with Moscow-Star and waited for one of the usual drivers to come and pick me up from Vnukovo. It ended up being Oleg with the broken down Volga and we spent the next two hours crawling our way up Leninky Prospect during rush hour to the apartment on Tverskaya Ulitsa. So much for beating the traffic.

It was late so I dropped my bags at the apartment and headed over to TGI Friday’s to meet an old friend for a few pints. It was Tuesday night so nothing too exciting and we wrapped things up by 11:00 PM. I wandered back to the flat to get unpacked and by midnight I had the itch for some entertainment. I decided it was a little too late to call any of the girls I had met on Mamba so I grabbed a gypsy cab down to Hot Dog (formerly Boar House – formerly Chesterfield’s) to see what all of the fuss was about. I suppose the word to use to describe my impression is “underwhelmed”. Yeah sure, the toilets are new (albeit already broken) and they cleaned the place up a little but other than that, same old crowd.

Chatted up a few that wanted to start the bidding at <are you ready for this?> 15,000 rubles for the night. I almost spit up my Baltica (or was is Bochka?). Regardless, I was more than a little shocked because that was Night Flight territory in terms of price but nowhere near the caliber of eye candy. I must have trolled for a good hour and finally settled on Margarita who was the spitting image of Big Red in Ufa. In fact I had to quiz her repeatedly to make sure is was not her. She spoke no English and started the bidding at 9k which I thought was something I could work with – especially for a Tuesday night. I got her down to 5500 but it took me damn near an hour to get there. At this point I was already writing Hot Dog off as a lost cause. P4P scene is getting to be toooooo expensive at these clubs. Not that I can blame these girls what with the cost of living in Moscow. Getting “dolled” up and hanging around Hot Dog for 5 hours can’t be cheap. The one big positive change that I did notice was that there does not seem to be an “exit fee” anymore. Perhaps the girls are nailed with this upon entry and are forced to make us pay it on the back end? Anyone know about this?

Anyhow – Margarita was as good as Big Red from Ufa, if not better.

Wednesday night was my blind date that was set up by the Russian girl in Denver that I met a few weeks back. I had high hopes for this one as being a sure thing as the one in Denver seems to have deemed me to be “fuckable”. This was one strange date. First, she SMS’s me to meet her at 5:00 PM for drinks and a snack at a place called Vanille near Kropotkinskaya metro. One beer, one tea, one fruit plate and one small sushi dish - $80. Leapin Lizards Daddy Warbucks! This was going to be expensive. Don’t get me wrong – this girl was nice. Professional blond with a nice body who drove a BMW 330i. Hmmmmm…….. a little out of the league of the type of girl who you want to have a “trashy relationship” with if you know what I mean. Still, she was bright, engaging, well travelled and smart. You know the drill, men and women sit around naked or half naked drinking beer and vodka running in and out of the sauna and cold pool. Great fun. I was a guest so I was on my best behavior. This is an eclectic group made up mostly of foreign men and local Russian women. Interesting group. After the sauna, it was suggested that we drop by Hot Dogs to check out the local talent and get a bite to eat. What a hoot. The expat guys were all gawking at the talent while the Russian women from the sauna were giving their two cents worth about which ones they thought would be the most fun.

This turned out to be an asset when it came down to negotiation time because I enlisted the help of one of the Russian women (about 40) to help negotiate a deal with a <<now read carefully>> a single mom with three kids from Nishny Novgorod (bingo!!! – trifecta!!!!) She was about 23 and very, very sweet. She was in for a long weekend to make some money. The best we could do was 6000 rubles for the night and I would make breakfast. Deal. IMHO – single moms from the country outside of Moscow offer the best value for dollar (ruble, euro, whatever). 100% service oriented and enthusiastic all night long. Again, IMHO prequalification is a MUST and I think the “triple combo” is the ticket.

Like Jake, I have found the occassional piece of heaven in an expatriate FSU girl, here at home or elsewhere in my travels. Mostly this is because I don't get to the motherland as often as I would like to, so I have to take what I can get, wherever I go. Whenever I am planning a domestic, American or European trip, I start by scanning the Russian dating web-sites for Russian girls living in that city.
Sometimes I don't even get a nibble, but mostly I can get a date, if not necessarily a home run. I have to modify my expectations a bit, but not totatlly. It is still possible for a 40-50 year old guy to approach and score with a 20-something Russian girl, as Jake did here, and Bez did with the video store girl.

So I struck out with past-prime Lena in London (wouldn't even kiss on the first date - I think she was being counselled by a friend to not be too easy), but scored with a young Kazakhi exchange student in Montreal. Didn't quite score with lovely Olga the shot-girl in New Orleans, but did get to drink shots from between her breasts (but then anyone can do that for a few bucks!)

I only got to second base with Olga in Toronto, but then she introduced me to her friend, Lovely Lena, who brightened up my business trips there for about a year until she found a full-time boyfriend. So my point, Jackson, is that we should have some kind of Forum category, maybe attached to the Russian Forum, for discussion about hunting FSU pussy outside of its native habitat.

Besides that, a change of scenery is nice. Russia is Russia, but every city I have been to has a different character. Girls are more or less the same with some ethnic variations depending on where you are, but they are still fantastic.
