Basically, the militia can stop you for passport control (more specifically for visa registration), just to get a bribe, and it doesn't matter yours is in order or not. If you don't speak Russian, you can't argue with them anyway and they will threaten you to take you to the police station, so you better pay. Last year, several members of this and other forums even have been put to the ground with a gun on their head. This usually happens during the night by 3-4am when you get out of strip clubs. Just do a search in the forum, and you will see that the biggest thread in Russia at night is the militia. They are there to rob you, not to protect you. Government pretends that these are just mafia guys disguised with uniforms or with false badges, but everybody knows that they are real militia trying to make ends meet.

For skinheads, just read the news (and this forum too). I must say I haven't seen any myself, but others did. This is a problem only for non-white foreigners (like myself).

This being said, St-Pete is perfectly safe during the day, and I never had any problem myself.

No doubt the Russian Devs are top of my list as well, we are in agreement there.

Prices have risen so fast in Moscow and somewhat in Piter. I hate to see anyone encourage the trend. I have yet to meet a monger in favor of paying the higher prices.

As to value what you got may be a very good value compared to your options at home. In my home area prime pie runs $500-2000 an hour, that’s a crime.

But imagine the value at 1/3 to 1/2 the price you paid in Russia for the same Russian experience. I have done sessions from $47-75 an hour with gorgeous 18-20 year olds, that’s good value.

The cool thing about Russia is the wide range of options and gorgeous sexual women. Perhaps on your next trip you can schedule in more time to explore.

I will try few salons that I have never heard before.

Last week I was in Maximus (strip clup) near Nevsky.

i have been visiting the st-pete’s salons for some years, and have been back there again last month. this time, i visited over 30 salons (not having a session in each though). the quality of girls has decreased compared with the previous years, so i sometimes had to hit 3-4 salons before finding a girl to my liking.

as the price has gone up, i also tried the cheaper individual girls advertising on the web and in magazines, but it was not a good idea. some do not answer the phone and when they do, it’s not the right girl or it took too much time to find them. some others are in fact working in salons. so i went back to salons. salons have been already discussed in this forum, mainly photomodeli, but there are much more options in st-pete so i think an update could be useful to newcomers.

1. the salon scene

salons are brothels run in apartments in residential buildings. nothing differentiates them from other apartments (not even a name on a doorbell) so it’s a little bit complicated to find them.

usually you need to speak russian to call them to get their street address. sometimes they’ll find somebody who can speak english if you don’t, but most of the time they will just hang up on you. a few salons have a special number where english speaking staff answer the phone (domino and sharm).

be aware that a building can have several entries, and sometimes they give you the address of the building next to theirs, or of the one on the other side of the street. once you arrive, you need to call them again to get the code for entering the building, the floor and apartment number. i usually ask them to come down and get me. so don’t send your taxi away when you arrive as you may not find the salon, and have a mobile phone with you (there are public phones in the street in case you don’t, but don’t forget to take the phone number with you).

be aware that location of salons and phone numbers can change randomly, so check by phone before walking back to a salon you visited last year.

depending on the salon, you can have a line-up of 2-3 to more than 10 girls. a session of one hour is about 2500-3000 rubles nowadays. price are sometimes quoted also in usd or euros, but they are more expensive than in rubles. always pay in rubles. you can also take the girl back to your apartment.

2. where to stay

you will need to walk a lot if you intend to raid the salons. i always rent an apartment where there are many salons around in walking distance. to choose the location of the apartment, you can check where the salons are on a map (especially if you’re interested in a particular salon), like here.

then you need to find a reliable apartment agency. i use oksana’s. they offer excellent services at a reasonable price, take care of visa registration and also buy a sim card for my phone. many of their apartments have high-speed wifi internet connection. you may browse this forum for other apartment agencies.

3. salons with website

here is a list of salons with website. it may sound surprising, but many girls advertised by the salons are real (although “photoshopped”). however, the websites are not updated regularly and some may no longer be there so, if you like a certain girl, ask in advance if she’s still there.

the main ones are (in alphabetical order):

amsterdam: 5-6 salons. there is a daily planning of which girl is working and in which salon here.
babochka: 3-4 salons, some not mentionned on website.
domino. about 10 salons. they have more salons than what is mentionned on their website and special english speaking phone numbers (812-715.18.03 and 812-921 77 81). they also have other sites http://www.dominogirls.info and http://www.spbfei.ru.
elis: more than 10 salons. they have the largest number of salons in st-pete, more than photomodeli.
fabrika grez: 1 salon away from center, but low price.
fantaziyalove: 2-3 salons (one just closed….). telephonist speaks little english.
formula of love: 2-3 salons.
golden lotus: 1 salon. telephonist speaks little english.
high life: 2-3 salons (one closed earlier this year).
kurtizantki: 1 salon.
mercedes: they are an escort agency, but do have an apartment on dobrolyiubova prospekt.
nimfetki: 4-5 salons.
photomodeli: about 10 salons. mentionned many times in this forum. exact address of salons are mentionned on website. maybe i’m unlucky, but i rarely had good session here. i recommend you to go to the “light” ones rather than the high-end ones, where you pay more for decoration than for the girl.
platinum girls: they are an escort agency, but it seems that you can meet with some of their girls in their apartment. never tried.
sex mission: 3-4 salons.
tsum: 3-4 salons. exact address of salons are mentionned on website.
vip-models: 4-5 salons.

there are many other salons worth visiting, which do not have a website (or maybe they do, but i don’t know it). some advertise and have photos of their girls on amurspb, sexspb and pro-models. one salon worth mentionning is sharm, which has a special english speaking phone number (812-970.05.66).

4. magazines

a good source of information are the sex magazines, where salons and individual girls advertise. when visiting a salon or a girl, i always take a copy of the magazine with me to show them the girl i’m interested in. more easy to walk away if she’s not there (or not real), without having to give any explanation. as mentionned above, many of the salon girls are real, but i can’t say the same for individual girls. you’re lucky if you find one out of 5 and that’s why i finally went back to the salons.

in summary, the st-pete’s salon scene is no longer what it was. it’s getting more expensive and girls are no longer as stunning as a few years ago. services are also declining, it’s difficult to get dfk, bbbj and daty nowadays. still, it’s a good alternative to moscow if you like russian girls, and choice is there.
