I was in St Pbg from 1st October to 15th October. Usually, when I travel I like to rent a car. See the country. Take a woman with you. I have seen all of Romania, Bulgaria, South Africa, USA, Canada, Switzerland that way. Never had a probelm. Until St Pbg.

I have never driven in traffic like St Pbg. The drivers are suicidal maniacs. I am from UK. We have about the same no. Of cars. About 28m. Squashed into a tiny space. But we have 3, 500 die on the roads. But 39, 000 die in Russia.

The new Russians (mafia) have bought top of the range mercedes and BMW. But have no idea how to drive them. So they just knock anyone down.

Well, I had never been to Russia before. I have a girlfriend there that I found through a Dating Bureau. She is nice. But I feel sorry for her being in Russia. They hate in there. It is a miserable place. There are gorgeous women on the Nevsky and I am sure you can easily pick them up.

Whenever I spoke english, all the girls lokked around. But I was sopken for and I am 56 and I could scarely keep up with er. Never mind shag the one million women between 16 and 40 hwo livve in that city (Pop. 5m).

Well, lots of little things niggle you.

1. Getting a visa. My first attempt failed. After 3 weeks. Got it send back. Wrong size photo. After that I used a visa service. I was now in a hurry. Did not want to get there when the winter starts. That is 1st November, and the fucking snow there gets really high. And is VERY cold. -20 to -30C.

Well. I paid £92 for the rush, rush service. As soon as they get the passport, they get it that day. But the visa costs £90 then in stead of £30. Then £35 for the invitation (gotta have one, guys. And the original). And £6 registered mail. Total £2145. And I hadnt had a shag yrt.

well its about time i report from spb. with two months under my belt, i have some info to share. anyone coming to town can drop me a line if they want more.

long story short, spb sucks for newbies, but is pretty good if you live here and are willing to put time and effort into the hobby.

magrib - ok, girls think they are hotter than they really are, and think they are worth more than they really are. but at least they are there and if you are traveling you can drop in and shop. i live right next to it, and i don't have the urge to go since i have found better service and looks in the apartments. plus, i did go early on and saw one of the ladies in magrib twice, and i dread the innevitable "why don't you like me anymore" showdown. i did not see any true stunners there.

marstals - horrible. went twice,stayed less than an hour both times and split.

i wish i could produce an annotated map with all of my hard earned findings. i've traveled from end to end in the spb metro, walked miles in the spb streets, entered countless courtyards, climbed darkened stairwells, dealt with all of the peculiarities of spb/russian style. all in the pursuit of the elusive devushka goddess.

first of all. there are several street mags, znacomstva and rendevu (pronounced "rendesvous", like the frency. i prefer rendevu since it is easier to pronounce and it also has better coverage. there is a small 8x6 rendesvous and a larger 10x12 rendevu. some photos in there are labeled "100% photo originale". this is a hit and miss label. like most things russian, there is a grey line. in fact, some of these are legit, but then there a some salons/apartments which blissfully label their ads 100% photo originale, and when you show up and confront them, they say "no, not really, but don't you like the girl/goblins we just showed you??"

i have been selective and have gotten to the point where i now arrange to see my favorites on their own time at my place. i give them the same $$ i would pay in salon but they get to keep it, and its a win win.

i mean, its bad enough that i can barely speak the language enough to get the address on the phone. but they refuse to give you the apartment numberr till you show up on the street. so you finally get to the house (doma) and its sometimes a city block in size with a courtyard and anywhere from 5 to 10 separate entrances, and you have to call and say "i'm here!!" while the wind is blowing, and the cars are roaring past, and you can hardly hear anything coming out of your cellular phone. and you try to say "what do you want me to do now? wait or give me the room (quartera?)" and they shout something incomprehensible back at you, and you say "i don't understand" and they shout more incomprehensible stuff at you, only louder so that it totally distorts on your little cellular phone headset. and finally, you negotiate a strategy to meet. sometimes they talk you to the door "straight, straight, left, left ... there ... no ...right...now ###". sometimes, they come to the street to meet you, but they inevitably take nearly as much time to get from their room to the street as it took me to cross town.

its just as bad when the girls come to you. even if i give them my apartment number, even they can't find the apartments. i typically have to go meet them on the street, even though i have a video monitor on the door and i can buzz them up. its like the whole system of apartment number addressing is beyond the average russian's ability. the ups guys must be the smarted f'rs in all of russia.

so, if you are headed out to a strange address, i just might be able to tell you how to make a proper landing. "go into the ach and bear left along the wall, follow the wall to the 4th door and then buzz 101" ... and of course on some doors you just enter the numbers and on some doors you enter the numbers and then the letter "b" or whatever ... its a mess ... but its worth it when you find a hottie.

Actually, Ulla said she had never worked anywhere, and had only slept with her boyfriend, prior to my Sept 21 visit there. Nevsky 63 turned out to be the best deal. I had the pleasure of sampling 3 women, none of whom are on the photomodeli.ru website. (...) The next one was heavenly. From my recollection from a couple of years ago almost all the girls in Magrib were available in one way or another, but not necessarily on the game. But if it is hookers that you definately want then here is the spotting guide. I am sure it has not changed any...
1) By the entrance to the dance area, arched antrance, just inside is a spot where there is often just one girl standing, looking lonely. Whoever she is, she will be working.

2) By the bar on the right hand side, as you enter the dance area, is a 'meat rack' near the entrance, if you see girls hanging there, then the chances of them not working are very slim.

3) Look out for the young guys with two or three girls each. Too young and not rich enough dressed to be local 'doodz', they will often dance with one or more girls at the same time, showing them off. They are showing off their merchandise.

4) Assume all women there are available, very few go there just for the music! They may not be seeking immediate compensation though, if you have good game and a good, plausible story.

5) I understand that Tursday night is still expat night. The place will be full of women, but there are very few female expats in St Petersburg...

Girls in Magrib all have to pay rent, sometimes newbies will try to avoid doing so. They will, therefore, not do a deal in the club but will often pop out to the bistro on the corner just on the right from the club. If a girl is seen trying this on too often the other girls will dob her in to the security. So, if a girl seems to be wanting to be discreet either leave the club seperately and negotiate (there is no problem with passouts!), or make a 'date' for another time.

The owners of the club are Iranian and they often come in with their friends, the girls who are with them, or hanging around will also be working, but not available until the owners leave, or another time, so it is worth keeping a weather eye open.) just don't hit on either of the manager's girls though!

As a general aside, don't forget that most women in the city live in the suburbs, not the central area, they get trapped after about 01:00 by the raising of the bridges. Some girls will hang around clubs waiting for the bridges to lower, at about 06:00, allowing them to return home, but a very useful gambit is the offer of a nightcap and bed at your nearby apartment, allowing them to get some shut-eye. It has worked very well for me in the past and is one hell of a lot cheaper than renting, but it is best used with a girl you are already talking to, to close a deal. Only a dick will walk around saying 'you wanna come back to my place' to random strangers!
