I will be studying at SP University for the months of september and october. Besides my prior admonisions about getting caught by the bridges, only getting money from ATMs and that the SPG cops are NOT there to help you (see my prior posts) I am wondering what has been going on since my last visit a year ago. My worries about the overpriced girls in the hotel bar and the stupid foreigners who are willing to pay over the going rate and screw it up for everyone else are frequently echoed by others.
Have the strip bars changed in the last year? (Maximus, Golden Dolls, etc.) They used to be WAY overpriced and had women picking at you like vultures. My only recomendations for newcomers to SPG is to go to Tribunal or Marstals bar and talk extensivley to any women you take back to your hotel/apartment. The prices are MUCH better and the women will try harder for you.

For anyone staying longer than 2 weeks in one city in Russia I would recommend renting an apartment for much less and you don't have to deal with hotel security every time you get lucky (paid or unpaid). All you have to do is find a Russian expat travel agent in your local city(There are a lot of them) Your own apartment will simplify alot of things, just make sure you are SOUTH OF THE RIVER NEVA!
The women in Russia are the most straight-forward women I have ever met. ANY foreigner will be met with interest and this can be taken to your advantage if played right! Good luck to my fellow mongers!

Wow, that's sad that Nites closed down. It was a decent place. Two recommendations, but again it's been a year since I was in St. Pete. All, I'm sorry if i had paid too much and broke the "rule". I had spent some time looking for a stunner by going to the clubs, using escort service etc. and was very disappointed. I have to join in on the concern here with your $600 a night payment. Yes, it´s your money - but for the sake of the brotherhood, don´t ruin the country. It´s like Octatron said - it´s just going to hurt the negotiating power of your fellow mongers.
I´ve been in Buenos Aires now for over five weeks, and I get some ridiculous quotes from the chicas. I know from the quotes I get, and talking with some of them that I become friends with later, that there are a certain percentage of guys that pay the "stupid gringo prices". So, they just throw it out there at the start to see if you are one of the stupid ones. They openly laugh about it when talking, and it sure isn´t a feeling of respect that they have for these guys.
I´m not intending to flame you with my words, I just think you need to step back and reconsider next time - if for no other reason than a sense of concern for the guys that will follow on your trail. I've always enjoyed the selections and even the atmosphere here. But my problem is that since I work on a cruise ship, the Tribunal pretty much is a "crew bar", so too many of the female crew members go there. So in the past I've usually lurked around the Tribunal until late, and waited until my fellow female crew members have gone. Or I've usually gone to Marstalls for my evening shopping. Octatron, Metro is a wild place. I think that everyone should go there once, if for nothing else to see the skinhead women security guards. You can see my post a couple of months back, but to answer your question, there are all types of women at Metro, from amateur to pro.

Doc_skank, those are good reports. I too found success at Hollywood Nites, in two forms.
