based on my experience and reading the site here, it is getting harder and harder to find anything decent for 50 bucks. if you aren't into trying for freebies, which are possible with some effort and luck, you maybe could try the internet sites like <http://love.mail.ru/category/1500.html> or the higher scale www.dosug.nu
this might be the best bet for cheaper action, there you can at least get the mobile numbers of some working girls there, but will need some place to take them.

if you'd rather go to a bar to check out the selection, which is more fun for me anyway, the pick up bars in st.pete are marstalls and tribunal. in moscow there are several, check out the www.exile.ru site. they have a bar and club guide with very useful info, including some price indications...reading between the lines. you might be able to get a girl for $50 in low-season in st.pete at one of the pick up bars there, in moscow it will be much tougher. seems to me that prices are about $80 and up in moscow for this kind of bar girl...quality ranging from very average to very good. really hot babes will want at least $100 and probably considerably more, especially if there are a lot of other johns mongering. but still, it is all possible on a budget with patience, luck and some bargaining skill. i usually pay from $70-100, but have paid as much as $150 in moscow. you can obviously pay a lot more too, of course. i've never paid less than $50 in either city...and didn't feel like trying either.

you should read through old posts too, most of the info is still pretty current and it'll give you a better idea of where to go. seems to me that in moscow there is no central place really, as the scene is rep001tered at various clubs, bars and discos and the increasingly popular sauna clubs and the like...besides the above-mentioned outcall services.

in st.pete i'd just try marstalls or tribunal for starters. it is really easy access and unintimidating for the first time russia visitor with little or no russian language skills. in moscow doug and marty's boar house serves the same purpose. maybe won't be as cheap as other options, but shouldn't cost more than $100 either. some girls to look at, some like minded expats will be there too. after an initial round of fun here, you could try something more adventurous like outcall or a sauna/massage place which could be cheaper too.

My guess is the girls hitching rides were about as cheap as the massages. This was about two years ago. As far as I know, there is nothing of a red light district in Saint Petersburg.

There are Russian web sites where girls are less expensive to rent, but there are problems. They do not speak English and the sites are in Russian. It is not easy to find your way round.

If you are queasy about spending decent money then the best thing to do is rent an apartment rather than take a hotel. Use the money you save to rent women.

That should even out nicely, especially as you will not have to bribe the security staff to get a girl into your apartment, unlike a hotel!

So the answer to your question is that I can not help you much...

If you want advance information on specific girls then I would be looking at Baltic Beauties or Le Fantasy (Google the names and they will be there). But they are bloody expensive. For the money, I would go to Tallinn and hit Olumpia (Bonny and Clyde) at about 23:00. Talk to the girls there, you should find something very nice and may be surprised on cost. There is also a woman often there with a string of very attractive girls. I think that she has them lined up for specific guys. Never bothered checking. SHe is short and chubby acting as mother hen to maybe six girls. They are always young and beautiful. I think she could sort you out.

Escort services seem to be running at about $300 for the night when prearranged. The girls will usually be model quality but will want to be discreet. Often will not go to restaurants and clubs but will keep you busy in the hotel room...

It's been a while since I was there and things may have changed...

But this is what I know.

There are several 'classes' of girls there. The 'civilians', 'amateurs' and professionals. The civilians are ordinary girls who are just up for a night out. Some are lovely, some are not. Unfortunately most speak little English but like most Russian girls they go out with an empty purse and dont want to be in the cold until the bridges go down. THis is the best bunch, no need to pay, just buy the drinks and be nice; maybe a bite to eat at the cafe on the corner of Nevsky and Gribodaeva?

Next are the amateurs, often students, most will speak some English. They tend to be opportunists, only ocasionally picking up a guy, normally they are civilian and will go with a foreigner if they like him/need to pay the rent/buy that new handbag.

Last are the professionals. They don't work for the house, they pay rent. About $100 per week IIRC. You can often spot them as they stand on their own at the edge of the dancefloor although they are often with friends. Some have pimps others not. The pimps are often sitting at the back left hand side at those big wooden tables. Often the pimps are women. If you ask them what they are doing they will be open and tell you they work there.

A girl that you pull who says something about going to say goodbye to her friends is telling her pimp the details of the deal. You'll see her go to the back.

As far as I know, the house does not run a stable; however If a girl is too regular she will be spotted and have to pay rent.

The whole deal makes the place fairly safe, if you have problem with a girl tell the security and they will give her a 'customer service lesson', when the bruises heal she can go back to work. It does enforce honesty!

Ther used to be a price 'cartel' that was hard to bust, although the amateurs were not always in the know.

My guess is that the guy was not a pimp, they are usually very discreet. I dont know who he is though, maybe the owner, often girls like to be associated with owners/managers.

THe strippers are in general not available. Usually dancers consider themselves a cut above the tarts and so suggesting P4P does not go down well except for silly money. And why I didn't approach the strippers. I knew $50 was unrealistic, but thought maybe some of the girls might be had for $150. Hi! Have to agree with the Marstall's tip...
