I just returned from a week in Saint Petersburg, my first trip to the city. No other part of Russia I have traveled to compares to his city. It is every bit as beautiful as Paris or Venice. I also found the girls there to be also good.

I have lurked on this site long enough. Time to share this gem of a place.

My next stop was Maximus. I am ambivalent about this place, given the 1500rub cover charge. After a very long and conflicted consideration, I had a "what the hell" moment as I have no idea if I will ever return to this city. Carpe diem. So I jumped in. Inside, there were about a dozen girls, in the 6-9 range. I don't know what it is but when I walk into these places, I have this habit of being quickly attaching to the hottest girl in a place. I'm no looker by any stretch, maybe somewhat fit for my age. But so it was, with the only 9 in the place I saw that night. She quickly went down the menu of items on offering. Everything offered in house was quite over priced. 10 min private dance 3000rub(!) ? Really? She offered "all night takeout" for 25,000rub (To her credit, it was still early in the evening so all night really was suggesting most of the night). On a fool's errand, I offered €400. She countered €500, marginally better than the original offer in local currency. Not budging. OK. I must give those Russians credit for their math skills. I doubt and hope I never pay that kind of price again. Not having done this in the country before, I was rationalizing this with the intent of market research There were no disappointments. It was a no-holds-barred experience for the record books. Non-stop. A Lamborghini-grade body, cooked to perfection by her creator. About 25 years old. No kids and had the goods to show for it. I thought it a little unusual given how common it is for 18 or 19 year old Russian women to have had a baby and marry young (if only for a few years). But the evidence was there to support her claim. The Russian experience in this recreation is unlike anything I have experienced on the other continents. They aim to please. Greyhounds and thoroughbreds are born to compete as runners. These Russian girls, obviously when they have the proper motivation and focus, are bred for bed.

My only disappointment with her was she did not stay the full night as I had expected. After 3 or 4 hours, she was on her way. All night to me means until at least the sun rises. My impression when we sealed the deal was she was taking herself offline early for the remainder of the night. If they are up for offering a little GFE, then stay for breakfast. I would never expect "all night" to mean just short time with an overtime. No reminder that we agreed on all night would convince her to remain any further than what she wanted to. She was certainly paid far above market price it seemed for the arrangement so why not deliver the full package? So what is the formal definition of "all night" ? Am I missing something? I am not one to get physical or physically restrain someone. This is not the first time this has happened. Just part of whole experience I need to tweek a bit. Comments appreciated.

One other comment I could make is on currency exchange. The ruble is on shaky ground right now, as you can imagine, due to their current conflict. As a result, I found every private exchange and bank anxious to buy my foreign hard currency at or slightly better than the prevailing rates (Yahoo Fiance, XE or Wall Street Journal rate) without any transaction fee whatsoever. I was using € cash, which turned out to be the best option as I suspect ATMs and cash advances on plastic probably wasn't getting quite the rosy rate I was getting. If I could go back, I would be curious whether the airport offerings were as good as in the city. I know, traditionally they are not but it wouldn't surprise me if the airport at present was also as good. I went all over the city during my time there and found most rates more or less the same.

Although there isn't much activity on this forum, I just wanted to acknowledge that my travel notice and request for information produced excellent helpful replies from two other members, one who was there for a weekend very recently and one who is out there now, having a great time and whom I have arranged to meet. I've since exchanged a couple of messages with each and they have been really useful.

I'm really looking forward to arriving in StP the day after tomorrow, to take advantage of their experience and hopefully to make some of my own discoveries. I will encourage them and will try myself, to report back for the benefit of others.

But I digress. Just home after a month "abroad" as they used to stay: Russia (Petersburg, the crown jewel of Eastern Europe; That other place that passes for a Russian city but is really a giant, festering boil; Tver (don't ask) and Ukraine.

Expenses. Airfare was $1600.00 roundtrip from the US (August is just about the worst time of the year to travel to Europe, as far as prices go). Rented an apartment in Petersburg for the full month ($45 a night, found on Airbnb), even though I was in the alleged southern capital for 2 nights, Tver for 2 nights and Ukraine for 8 nights. I had reserved the Petersburg apartment before I finalized my plans and didn't want to try and change the apartment booking as August is the busiest time of the year in Russia for tourists. Fortunately, I stayed with girls in their apartments in Tver and Ukraine.

As far as girls in Petersburg go, in addition to the aforementioned Natasha Market (5000), I met a couple of other girls I've known for 5 and 10 years respectively, and both received 6000 ruble donatives each time we met, and another girl I'd met 10 years ago as well, but hadn't met in the last few years, and when she turned up she had put on at least 12 kilos (2 kids later). Look for green. And no, my card would no longer work at Citibank ATMs or that big German bank ATMs with the black/gold colors. Go figure.

I wouldn't exactly say so. When you are inside the club:

A) smoking is allowed.

B) music is going to be loud.

C) as everywhere else, Russian customers look like mafia bosses and.

D) you guys are going to be constantly bothered for tips.

So if you're on your own, that may be ok (there are definitely stunners to be found), but I wouldn't call that a relaxing way to sample the city.

If you click on the link provided in the post it will take you to a site that lists 4 salons: paradise, deluxe, grand deluxe and royal deluxe.
