There is some clear evidence of economic progress in certain sectors. More new construction projects, (compared to 2014-2015 when many seemed like they were stalled), seem to be back on track. The facilities you went to were of higher end caliber. There are also "erotic salons" that are not really salons with jacuzzis. But regular apartments. On the ads they might have their own websites which shows the prices and girls, in fact they just operate out of apartments. You'll need to call them in order for the Mamasan to tell you their apartment number, not "dom" number and set up an appointment. I suggest you read a book titled "Putin country, the journey into the real Russia", if you're interested about Chelyabinsk. You can download it on Amazon. It was only published last month so the info is still relevant. In order to get to the girls, one must understand their natural habitat first.

All large provincial centers, all over 1 million population. All very cold in winter. Omsk is the poorest among them. Yekateringburg has many migrants from Central Asia and Kavkas. Didn't get the impression that people were very friendly here. The city is so big that for a punting perspective I wouldn't advice it.

Novosibirsk seems kindler, and some people have the distinctive Mongolian or Kazakh features. City too big to get around.

Krasnoyarsk is the richest due to enormous natural resources. Strangely the best hotel in town is average at best. Even all the other large yet poorer cities of similar size have better and bigger hotels.

Anyways, Krasnoyarsk feels a bit like Dubai in snow, oh yeah they're loaded now. So don't think sponsoring will work very well there.

Went to Shuya, Ivanovo, population 50000 and Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk, population 150,000.

Can't say about other cities sized 50,000, but Shuya is depressing. Yes you might be the only foreign man in town, or even the most eligible man in town, but all the good looking young girls, or all young girls have left town for provincial center or ST. Pete to study at universities. So you still can't do shit there. There are simply no universities in towns this size which means there are simply no young girls.

Zlatoust or cities at 150,000 are a bit different, but in general the same. Now I just wrote several posts about the women situation in Russia, none of them is flattering. Let me provide you with the perspective from 2005 in Vladivostok when I didn't have the Russian skills, money, sophistication, style. That I have now.

I was just some dumb foreign ass without speaking a word of Russian in Russia. As I fondly remember there were 8 girls working at the front desk in Hyundai hotel when I stayed there. All of them beautiful. All of them eyed me as if I was prince William. I was anything but.

The difference between Russia now and 10 years ago was that the average salary back then was a small fraction of what it is now. Now they're still not rich, but relatively comfortable. Back than it was their survival at stake. Not only were they only making several thousand rubles a month, they were lucky if they were paid at all. And the best jobs available in a city of half a million was to work at the front desk for a Korean hotel. It's a 5 star hotel I might add.

Now I bet you will not see this in any city in Russia where the best looking and English speaking girls see working as receptionists at hotels as a good job. Back than even the hotel maid was a hot young blond who wanted to meet me the eligible foreign douche. Now all the hotel maids are middle aged.

But the city and Russia was dangerous back then. Hotel and night club, even a prodykti had armed guards. Drunks were everywhere on the streets which is not the case in Russia now.

It was much easier to get laid back then but one was also more likely to get mugged or killed in Russia.
