I spent two nights in Ufa, the capital city of the Independent Republic of Bashkortostan. Well, not really two nights because my flight arrived a 2 AM and I didn’t get to the hotel until 3 AM. But I did go straight to the bar at the Hotel Bashkortostan where the girls were just winding things down for the night. As first glance I was pretty impressed with the quality of the girls. Ufa is about 800 miles due east of Moscow. It’s more or less on the west slope of the Ural mountains and two hours ahead of Moscow. Ufa lies on the banks of the White River which eventually flows into the Caspian. This year, Bashkortostan is celebrating their 400th anniversary of being part of Russia. Ufa was made a significant city because during WW2, Stalin moved much of the USSR’s manufacturing to Ufa because it was out the range of Hitler’s bombers. There are about 1.2 million people living in Ufa so it’s a city of some substance.

OK, so much for the National Geographic tour. The girls in Ufa are something to behold. While the girls in Moscow and Peiter are nothing too shabby, the ones in Ufa seem to be the result of several generations of mixing between the indigenous Bashkirs, the regional Tatars and the ethnic Russians themselves. The product is a sea of rosy cheeked babes with a very nice way about them all in a nice range of flesh tones.

I had lunch one day in a Bashkir restaurant one day and could not believe how gorgeous the waitresses were. I wanted to meet the owner and congratulate him on the beauty of his staff. One waitress in particular was so stunning that I could NOT take my eyes off of her. If I had had more time, I would certainly have taken a run at her (note to self).

I was fortunate enough to have a business colleague who lives in Ufa and was able to give me the grand tour of nightlife in Ufa. We started with dinner at a nice Sushi place that was crawling with tables of very well dressed beautiful girls eating Sushi and chatting away. Not too bad for a Monday night. We were dressed in business attire so we were the target of their glances and I am certain that with a little work there would have been a score. Again, the striking thing in Ufa was the look of the women. Absolutely exotic. You could clearly see the influence of the Tatars on the chiseled facial features of these little lovelies. Well dressed with perfect hair and make-up. Not an eyelash out of place.

There are three dance clubs in Ufa worth mentioning. “A” Café, Prospect, and Jet. It's worth mentioning that Face Control is alive and well in Ufa so if you are at all "Caucasian" looking or darker (sorry brothers) you can expect to get hassled. Prospect seemed to be the worst for FC. All three are supposed to be crawling with amateurs looking for fun on weekends. While it was only Monday night, there was a reasonable crowd by 11:00 PM in all three places. I did not really see any “working girls” like you might see at the Boarhouse (now Hot Dog) or Night Flight. Most seemed to be there to dance and have fun. But I was assured that there was a good chance of not going home alone. Unfortunately, being Monday night and having an early meeting on Tuesday, I didn’t feel like there was all that much to choose from and decided that I need to get back to the hotel for a sure thing.

Back at the hotel, it was touching midnight and there was a good selection of girls working the bar. I settled on a redheaded spinner named Gullia and negotiated for a few minutes. She initially wanted 8000 rubles until I reminded her that this was Ufa, not Moscow and that this was not Night Flight. Her face turned as red as her hair and she slinked away to consider things. When I came back to the table from the men’s room there was a look of relief on her face because she must have thought I was bailing out for the night. She came over and whispered 5000 in my ear and I countered with 4000 to which she nodded and asked my room number. 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door.

After a quick currency conversion, I realized that I was probably over-paying for Ufa and quizzed her about the price. Guillia told me that 4,000 rubles has been about normal for Ufa and has been for several years. She seemed to be oblivious to the conversion rate and the plight of the dollar. Had this been three years earlier and the dollar been worth 33 rubles, I realized it would have been a $120 dollar which is what I would have expected for the locale and the girl. Still, I had no complaints.

SUMMARY
While it was a very, very, short trip I got a very favorable impression of Ufa. Nice people and a reasonably sophisticated nightlife scene for a city so far away from Moscow. I doubt that anyone can justify a mongering trip to Ufa, but if you ever find yourself faced with a business trip to Ufa, have no fear.

Sochi is blooming now with the influx of tourists from all over Russia as well as Europe. The hotels and private houses would be full of guests, restuarants busy all day long. You need to count more roubles for everything you want to do in Sochi now and for next few months.

As far as mongering, both paid and non-paid services are available. If you are staying at 5 stars, check out the restaurant, bars and discos, and if you are lucky you may score a non-paid service. For this is time consuming and has no guarantee though. With money you can also buy services from these places easily. If you are not happy with the menu, talk to any bellboys and room services, they will provide you with lots of information.

Checkoout local newspapers. There are pages called dosug (leisure), you will find lot of contacts out there. Quality varies and you need to spend some time to score good ones. But there are are dosug services who have really good girls in their pick.

If you are planning to stay in budget hotels, my advice to you to stay closer to "vakzal" (railway station). There are many budget hotels in and around that place (dom journal, to name one, which means journalist hotel). Girls at a cheaper price are available at vakzal through mamasan. In vakzal you will find many mamasan and you can talk and bargain with them regarding quality and price. Again, the score is doubtful.

In the evening hours in most of the hotels (except for the top class) you will find small cards (of the size of visiting cards) that says that if you need girls for sex, call certain numbers. You can call them, tell your preference and bargain prices. When things are set, girls will be brought at the hotel gate, you can meet them, talk to them and if you like you can take them to your room.

It is the capital of the Republic of Karelia in Russia, to go there it is enough to take the Saint-Petersburg plane then the train at the Ladozhky railway rand new station. A town of average size of approximately 300000 inhabitants in majority of the blondes with the blue eyes very clear and especially the prices are much less expensive than in Piter. On either side of Sochi are Adler and Dagomys, and halfway up the coast to Novorossiysk is Tuapse, but none of them have the crowds that Sochi has. There are plenty of young people in Sochi.

Not sure what "type of date" means. I guess you're looking for a certain height, weight, who likes to go for long walks, dancing at the nochni klub and sex 3 or 4 times a day. Kazan is a beautiful city in Tatarstan which was renovated a few years ago. I spent a weekend there last summer while I was traveling the Trans Siberian railway. Women are gorgeous as there is a mix between Russians and Tatars (moslims). Absolute stunners varying from blonds to brunettes. All in all this was one of my favorite stops in Russia. I didn't try any p4p but quite easy to pull non pros as well.

A great and dirt cheap hotel is located at a stones throw from the Kremlin.

If you have the chance give it a go as it's a stunning place.
