Doc Skank,
You've probably cemented your February lodging plans in Novosibirsk by now but I thought I'd offer some observations for you and the other WSG members on the city from my excursion to Siberia back in September 2004 when I was a novice (and clueless) part-time hobbyist.
Like you, I originally wanted to stay at the city's finest hotel (The Sibir) but it was booked solid since Novosibirsk is the largest city in Siberia, the regional/provincial capitol, as well as an industrial and transportation hub so everyone who's anyone stays at Hotel Sibir (where tired mongers/guests can find companionship for the night in the lobby bar depending on what day of the week it is). Instead, the kind English-speaking staff at the Sibir handed me off to the non-English-speaking staff at the Hotel Novosibirsk who set me up in a Western-standard renovated room which was about $100 more per night than the Soviet-style rooms down the hall on the same floor (half the 23 story building had been renovated in 2004 and have left untouched).
Hotel Novosibirsk is safe and located directly accross the street from the city's train station/commuter bus depot (see photo). As with anything located near a train/bus station in the former Soviet Union, you should keep your head on a swivel while in the area but since you're an old East European hand, you won't have any trouble (hell, I can think of plenty of neighborhoods and downtowns where strange foreign languages are spoken here in my state of Florida that are far more dangerous than anywhere in Novosibirsk at night). Anyway, the Hotel Novosibirsk room rate includes breakfast in the lobby bar/canteen where I suspect you can also find company for the night if your dyev radar is switched on (mine wasn't yet fully wired up back in 2004).
In addition to Himself's http://sibirintim.com/ link, another apartment/salon/escort service mentioned in the WSG Archives from years ago still seems to be up and running: http://www.zvoni.org. I didn't try it and to tell you the truth, the dyev's don't look too appealing to me. Anyway, being Doctor Skank, you won't need the rent-a-bride option in Novsibirsk just head down to the city's main drag called Ulitsa Lenina (what else would it be called?) where all your dancing, drinking, dining, and dyevving options are located. A restaurant I recommend is "Zhily Bili" (1 Ulitsa Lenina, 1100-2300 daily) which is an upscale Siberian peasant village themed version of Yolki Palki in Moscow -- great food, drinks, and service.
I remember having dinner at Zhily Bili on my last night in Novo before taking the 20 hour Trans-Siberian Railway train ride to Ekaterinburg (which is a much nicer town than Novo -- Novo's Soviet-era architecture is falling-apart crap!) and watching the prosperous local familes and couples enjoy a mid-week night on the town. My waitress was young and "cute" (in the way that a young Cracker Barrel waitress in a provincial Georgia truckstop along I-75 might be "cute" -- 5 or 6 out of 10 -- but only due to the blossom of fleeting youth). Anyway, the restuarant was busy and she was busting her ass at her job as people on the lowest rungs in a capitalist economy typically do at Cracker Barrels in Siberia and having done that kind of ass-kissing restaurant service work myself in college and as a multi-unit fast food franchisee owner/operator in the States, I sympathised with her station in life and admired both her work ethic and her fine Russian ass clothed in a peasant themed waitress uniform as she took orders, brought food, and cleared customers' plates away during the course of my meal.
So, as I finish eating my satisfying dinner, my peasant waitress girl brings my bill (about 700+ RR) and I pay her with a 1000 ruble note and get up to go down stairs into the frigid, lonely street. But before I can get to the head of the stairs, she comes running up to me with my RR300 change and I wave her away saying "dlya vas" (for you) and she doesn't seem to understand so I say "za chai" (as a tip). Her eyes get wide and she slowly says "S-P-A-A-A-S-I-I-I-B-A-A-A" while executing a little curtsey as if we were living 100 years ago and somebody just introduced me to her as some distant relative of the Tzar. Had I been more dyev savvy at the time, I'm sure I could have had Zhili Bili peasant waitress "take out" when she got off work.
Continuing our little tour of Novosibirsk (for a city of 1.5 million people, there's really not much to do here), keep walking east on main street (Ulitsa Lenina) until you get to Lenin Square where there's a big statue of you-know-who surrounded by a cast of happy Soviet characters who look like they're directing traffic along Krasny Prospect in front of the Opera and Ballet Theatre. It's in this park that things get interesting in Novo since this is where everyone hangs out in the evenings after work and school (at least in warmer weather). It's been my experience that if you're looking for a local street walker, free lancer, or part-timer anywhere in Eastern Europe you need to find the city's public square/park; indeed, it doesn't matter whether the statue is of a Christianizing king in Prague's Wenceslas Square or a Com***ist commissar in Siberia, at the base of these statues is where you'll find the working girls -- I promise!
Now, the working girls may not be there every night and maybe not in enough numbers for every Ivan, Pavel, and Tomaz who's shopping for a short-term bride but Lenin Square is where you'll find the local street talent in downtown Novo. But you have to make a decision quickly because the girls get scooped up FAST! Since it was already getting cold in late September when I visited the city I noticed the girls who stood on Lenin's plinth (like on a theatre stage) dressed, while waiting for that night's "date", like you'd expect a working girl to dress and without much regard to covering up against the bitter weather so it wasn't hard to discern who's working and who's just hanging out in the park waiting for a girlfriend to share a sweet-tasting vodka cooler and smoke with.
Something else struck me as I watched the crowds in this park during my first trip to Russia back in 2004: "Where are all the men?" I thought. Christ, you go to Istanbul or Riyadh and you ask yourself, "Where are all the women in this society?" But in Novo, it's the exact opposite -- there are no working-aged men (they even have to import skilled Turkish labor to do construction work)! There's just teenaged boys, old men pensioners, and park bench after park bench full of very average-looking, dull-office-job holding, twenty and thirty-something dyevs who clearly have no prospect of finding a husband or having a child with a stable, sober, financially-secure man! That was a shock to me. I realized that so many things in Russia are the mirror image (the exact opposite) of what they are in the US -- I mean police in the U.S. are "good" while militsia in Russia are "bad"; 40 year old women can date 23 year old guys in the U.S. while 40 year old men can date 23 year old girls in Russia; everyday is "Woman's Day" the U.S. while everyday is "Men's Day" in Russia; and on and on...
Anyway, Doc Skank, I hope you worked the internet personals and found some dyev company for your business trip to Novosibirsk later this month because other than clubbing, eating, drinking, and screwing, there really isn't much to do in that town especially in the cold, dark days of February (but check Novo's on-line Russian language entertainment guide for more options: http://www.novosibout.ru/ ). I'm planning on moving to Moscow for business in a few months and splitting my time between there and Florida so I'd enjoy meeting you, Roger Mellie, CA_Traveler, Big Bro AJ, One O Nine, Sexplorer, Bez Bezarra, Lucasek, Ludovico, Shostakovich, Stravinsky (maybe I should change my handle to Borodin or Schaliapin?), NYC Expat, Bigth Dikth, Crusier D, GandJim, and the other Russia/Ukraine/EE board contributors sometime. The reports you guys collectively submit about this corner of the mongering world are some of the very best on WSG for their humor, practical hobbyist content, and thoughtful philosophical insights into the fascinating interaction between men and women. Hopefully, someday, I'll be able to "pay back" you fellow WSGer's with my own quality reportage and perhaps (by running/screwing/reporting double time) catch up to you mongering giants striding across the frontiers of Eastern Europe.
Live a Good Life, Without Regret and Die With a Smile (or a Dyev) on Your Face!
Cheers! Certainlee

I went to Kaluga, and stayed in the completely renovated Kaluga Hotel, its as if the Leyva had been refurbished and now looked like the Omni Hotel in San Diego. The only problem was that there was no heat in the room, and it was -25C outside. Really fucking cold.
So, I went down to the bar and picked up a working girl, kind of expensive at $50, but it was Saturday night and really cold in the room (did I mention that?). So, up we went for the standard 60 minute Russian treatment. If you haven't read my prior posts, Russian service is 2 pops, a quick one up front, and then a slow one. There was no way I was going to do 2 pops in that cold (any part of my body that stuck out of the tiny blanket on my bed started getting numb), so I went for one long, well maybe not so long, pop.
The girl claimed to be 18, but was probably in her early 20s, no English, nice figure, orange hair, big chest, but they weren't particularly firm, nicely shaved down below. A little on the heavy side, but firm all over.
The cold became a real problem for me, even with the chica in bed, so I finally opted for a covered BJ to finish me off, with her on her knews, ass out of the covers, and me fingering her, that did the trick after a while. After I let her out, I fell asleep within 2 minutes, so everything worked out OK, except that I woke up surrounded by icicles.

In this region I think Krasnodar is the best mongering destination.

Posts: 804bez... Ah... You forget those who are "masters of their own domain"!
Secondly, if you think all ODS beaches are pebbles, you obviously have been going to the "public" beaches and not the "private" beaches.
More importantly if you judge ODS by the port hos, then you have totally mis-judged Odessa. OR, if that is your tilt, then you need to look no further.
You are however spot on about needing reservations in July and August in and out of all of the beach cities because that is high season and prime time all around the Black Sea. In addition, IMHO, the beauty of the RU women and the Ukrainian women are near comparable, but the attitude of the Ukrainian women win hands down... at least from my meager experience.

The only 'masters' around here are masturbators.
Novorossiysk.
If you're a homo and you want to pick up russian fleet sailors,
this is where you should go. Maybe you could hit on some lonely
dyevs when the fleet is NOT in port, you'll need to know their
schedule, so it would help if you're an FSB intel officer, but
these port *****s are probably even skankier than Odeca port
*****s. The only other attractions are the oil pipeline terminal,
if you're into watching oil, and massive WWII memorials to where
the Red Army held out against 7 months of Wermacht invasion.
Its the end of the line.
Sochi.
The Daytona of the Motherland.
Besides the Czar's dachas, now occupied by Putin, the
bigger hotels, including a Radisson, have discos. You know
what that means! Leather-heads and pizda. The beach is
lined with shops and cafes, and like Odeca, its pebbly not
sandy.
Peak mongering would be July/August, but without hotel
reservations, don't expect to find available accomodation
without difficulty, again same as Odeca and Yalta.
CaT- I was NOT only talking about port *****s. Just comparing
Russian port *****s to Ukrainina port *****s. I didn't try either,
just heard plenty of warnings from locals to avoid them unless
you want disease. My best luck was with the VIP agency that
you don't ever mention, and then trying to meet a friend of a
friend, but unfortunately I had to overpay, since my time was so
limited. That speaks to my exposure only to public beaches as well,
I just wan't there long enough to visit 'private beaches', though
I thought that Arcadia was sandy, but I just can't remember.

Thanks very much CA Traveler !!!
I know you and guido888 met and had great time out there and for me it is a pleasure to be invited to meet from a master as you are.
To tell the truth everything started cause I wanted to go to Bajkal to enjoy summer in Russia, but it is pretty far and not much info about it are available, so then I thought about black sea in Russia and Sochi and I met this girl from Novorossiysk.
Why Sochi is horrible? About what exactly? Just curious.
Yes about visa, you are right, much better UA instead Russia and also from my very little experience about UA, 2 days in Uzhorod last july (by car..), I get the idea that are much better UA girls than Russian about beauty, even if personally, now I speak about my experience in internet, I will trust more to Russian girls, but I will surely consider the option of ODS.

Posts: 804luk... don't know this place, but everyone tells me that Sochi is terrible in the summer.
Instead, I suggest the Crimea, i.e. Yalta, or come to Odessa and visit me. You won't even need a visa in Ukraine.
guido888 shared some of your adventures in Spb... you're always welcome in Odessa for a visit. 1 May to end of September are great here. PM me if you decide to head this way.

Thanks all for your help!
I've made a couple of local contacts there who have also told me to avoid Hotel Novosibirsk, but I am curious now so I'll stay there for one night... old Soviet hotels can be fun... but its the kind of fun that wears off after a day or two. After 1 night I will move into an apartment. The apartments dont look like much (I also found another link www.rentline.ru) as well. My contact steered me towards a couple of private hotels (no website) which are reportedly nicer, but also booked.
As for hotel prices, there is a trade fair going on during my stay and the prices are ridiculously high... $200/night for a 3 star hotel... They flat out told me they increase their prices during trade fairs, but thats standard practice anywhere.
I'll report after I return in mid-Feb... hope my first contact pans out, she looks like Scarlett Johannsen...

Doc,
I stranded for two days in Novosibirsk in the summer of 2004. I was flying from Krasnodar to Vladivostok and wnated to avoid Moscow, so our local company in Krasnodar booked me on a plane from Krasnodor to Novosibirsk with 5 hours connecting time for the plane Novosibirsk-Vladivostok. However, the plane from Krasnodar was 3 hours late (which I expected) but the plane to Vladivostok left 2 hours EARLIER - in other words I lost the plane and had to wait for two days.
I booked myself into Hotel Sibir - all services was avalible at the bar at the reception at some 30USD/hour or 70-90 for 5 hours (as far as I remember). However on the first day I bumped into a nice freebee at a burger bar and she stayed with me for the rest of my unexcepted stay which in total was a damage of about 100USD in eating, drinking and giving her some presents. In addition I had to upgrade my room to a doubleroom which was as little as 10USD.
What more important is that she told me that hotel Novosibirsk is a diasater, not safe and substandard (if a Russian tells you something is sub then zou should really worry!)
We went to some clubs with some striptease in the center of the town where I noted a number of discrete working girl, so this exsists, but I didn't pursue the options as my hands litterally speaking was full as my blond freebee had was well equiped with two big melons all natural (this is what I like in CIS I never bumped into any silicone but will come one with the inflation etc.)
Enjoy

Posts: 139Sorry to take so long to get back Dr Skank
Havent been on this wire for some time I decided to make a post in the Chinese side. I havent been into Russia for awhile now so considering how often their politics change, who knows about djievs? The Sun Hotel is very far on the outskirts of town, I havent stayed there. I have only stayed in the Angara and I tried a girl once, but I wouldnt accept one via phone call uh-uh tsk-tsk! Go hang out on the stairs while having a cigarette, the girls always go out there to have a smoke. This way I can start talking to them first and alot of them speak English because......they go the that language university across the street! Tada! So yes this way you can chat up your girl and choose instead of waiting for 2 to show up at your door just so you can turn them down because they arent your "style". Once I went out there to have a smoke and a blonde girl that was about a 6 was also out there. We talked for about 5 minutes and after her cigarette she actually walked up to me and asked me which room I was in while stroking my arm. I asked her why because I wasnt all that interested in her but her reply in broken Russian accented English of " so...we can have sex." was definately tempting. Problem is, this is a hit and miss, you might not catch them out there. FYI, most hotels that offer girls you can find the girls hanging out somewhere outside in the lobby, outside, just make eye contact. She will approach you. Tried one girl, but I think the girls change quite frequently so no point in posting names here unless I had phone numbers which presents the other problem, Alot of Russian people change their phone numbers faster than I change a pair of jeans. The girl I tried was Alana, brunette, with very full lips and very red lipstick. She was 5'11 easily and wore glasses, we chatted and she even tried on my sun glasses. I turned the conversation to her school and her working late nights, and massaged her neck for a bit and not long after that her pair of very red lips was sucking vigourously on my shaft while my hands were cupping her C size breasts. I noticed the girls out here like to talk first, they dont like to get down to business. I think they want to get to know you. Its up to you to turn the conversation towards something more....saucy.
Regarding the clubs, havent really tried it there as I said I have always been with female friends while at the clubs. Seems more probable if I was with one of you guys.Last edited by Unknown One; 01-05-06 at 21:08. Reason: Need to make an additional reply to Doc's inquiry

Hello Doc,
In 14 day's I will travel, with some friends, by train to Irkutsk. We'll stop in Yekatarinaburg and Novosibirsk. In Novosibirsk I booked 2 apartments with http://eng.olympia-reisen.ru/hotel
I don't know the service and the quality of the apartments, but according to the pictures, it is the same standard as in Moscow or St Petersburg.

Fate has put me in Hotel Novosibirsk in February. Hotel Sibir, supposedly the top hotel in the city, was completely booked out. So far no luck on apartments either, although I'll try to switch to an apartment during my stay.
I assume that Hotel Novosibirsk is girl-UNfriendly...
Anybody have any info on Hotel Novosibirsk or any apartment agencies?
Any other info, such as salons or clubs, or Hotel Novosibirsk bar girls?
Thanks!
