I have just hooked up with a girl from Chelyabinsk. She wants me to visit her in February. Me being me, I don't go thousands of miles to see just 1 girl. Does anyone know the scene there.

I was just on a business trip to Irkutsk and can recommend the Intourist hotel for strip and more (I think that might be the old name, although everyone still uses it. I think it's called the Hotel Baikalsk now).

There's a bar in the basement with a strip show and lap dancing. Room service at the hotel was good to. You got the usual calls up to your room asking if you'd like "to spend time pleasurably in the company of a girl," but you could also the guards on the security desk on the left as you walk in. In about half an hour they'll bring up about five girls for you to choose from for 1500 rubes (fifty bucks) an hour.

I was actually overpaying and the price should have been 1200 a Russian friend I was there with told me - I'm not a great haggler. The girls were 8-9 and a lot of fun, easy-going. In the bar downstairs there was also a rich selection. I speak good Russian, so I'm not sure how easy all this would have been in English.

And be warned. There's a sign in English on every floor offering a 'special massage.' It may be 'special', but it's no good for our purposes (unless you've got a bad back or something).

Thanks for the reply. I will be there about 6-8 months. People said that Russia is unfriendly for the minority, and I heard about some bad news, but what a hell! I’ve been couple of S.A counties with guerrilla wars. Hopefully there are no skinheads in Irkutsk.

My Russian is ok - good enough to get by you might say. Good enought to read a classified advert regarding ladies of the night and have a basic conversation with the woman on the other end of the phone.

As for Irkutsk, you wont meet that many foreigners there, unless you go to the 2 main hotels in town. One is the Intourist hotel by the river, and the other is called (I think) the Angara. They have cash machines and bars where you might find some westerners.

All of my contacts in Irkutsk are now female and know me only as a respectable foreign businessman who they happen to sleep with every now and again. That makes it impossible to introduce anyone to them unfortunately.

I can suggest though if you are there for any length of time, that you pay a visit to the foreign languages intitute in the centre of town. Its part of the university. English language is studied almost exclusively by females 17-20. Most of whom you will find are attractive, some obscenely so. Offer to help out with some classes - a bit of native speaker pronounciation - for an afternoon or two.

Finally, I have no idea how much apartment rental is in Irkutsk, but I would guess you would be able to get something in that price range. How long are you there for?

Irkutsk - "The Paris of Siberia". Like most Siberian cities (except Vladivostok and Khabarovsk) the price of women is considerably lower than in Moscow and St Pete. A recent sojourn out to meet some friends in Siberia found me sneaking off into the evening to sample the hookerage in this laid back city.

The best way to find working girls in Irkutsk is to buy locally published papers in the news stands. Often the primary function of there is to sell second hand goods, but there is inevitably a section for ladies of the night.

I was staying with a girlfriend so I couldnt exactly bring a working girl back home, so I had to make sure I asked for one who had premises to shag in. You can do this by stipulating "apartamenti" in your best russian accent during negotiations. It was 10pm by the time I got away from my girlfriend and found a phone to call some numbers I had circled from the paper. I was sent out to the "Aeroport" hotel at Irkutsk Airport. Right in front of the hotel entrance was a russian car (lada or zhiguli) with a guy in front and 3 girls in the back. I wasnt sure if that was the car for me, but as I began to walk over, two other guys approached the car, negotiated with the driver, paid over some cash and the three girls got out and stood facing the two guys. They picked the best 2 and disappeared into the hotel, with the girls they had picked and with the driver. The driver reappeared 10 seconds later and sat back in the car with the remaining girl. I then wandered over and began my negotiations.

One hour, including a room at the zero star "Aeroport Hotel" was 400 rubles. A whopping 12 bucks. Unfortunately, I was left with the least of the three girls initially sat in the car. The driver accompanied us into the "lobby" (if you can call it that) of the Hotel and slipped the night porter 100 rubles. He then took us up to the room. The room was soviet. No other way to describe it. A single bed and black and white TV in the main chambre, while a rusty bathtub with leaky taps in the other.

I do like to chat to the dyevs before indulging their services so we talked for about 10 minutes before she went in to the rusty bath tub for a "top n tails" shower. She was 19, and from a village about 250kms outside Irkutsk. She had a top body (as you would expect from a 19 year old) but a bit of a duck-face. She spoke zero English. I asked her how much of the 400 rubles she got, and she told me 100. So that means the split goes 100 for the night porter, 100 for the ***** and 200 for the pimp. Now earning 100 rubles for a shag is pretty low, but this was Siberia.

Unfortunately gentlemen, as she had a duck face and as she was not enthusiastic about her work, it was not one of those occasions that lends itself to "gentleman's photography", so I have nothing visual to offer.

Last January I stayed at the Atrium Palace. It was Midnight when I arrived and so I asked the Guy at reception if he could get me a girl in 30 minutes he was at my door with 3 stunners. Now that I think more about it, I probably did pay less than $350 for my courier ticket, it was probably more like $260 or something. But I couldn't wait until the last minute like you, because to get my tourist visa ($90) at the consulate office, I had to show my plane ticket to get the Visa. And I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment to get the Visa. Always the catch!

I still saved a CHUNK of cash, which of course I blew on my garota de program at the Kiltch boite in Sao Paulo. A good suggestion to go there from my hotel bellboy. I was glad to let her empty my wallet. She spoke no English at all, so all 3 hours were spent exploring every orifice of her tan blond perfect 18 year old juiciness, with only the sound of her talking dirty in Portugese. She had absolutely no mileage on her, and she was lovin' it big time. I think she should have paid me!

She really relaxed me, which I needed, because the flight TO Brazil was not any fun either.

At the Miami airport, there were 3 flights that evening. They told me to get there at 2:00 in the afternoon, and then they just had me wait around, so THEY could get the cheapest ticket. I forget the name of the better Brazilian airline, but I watched that flight, ( was it Varig?), and then a United flight leave, and at 9:00 they said ok buddy you're on Air Brazil or some piece of crap airline, and my seat was in the back of a full flight, with guess what, smoking permitted!

Hey, guess where ALL the smoke goes? It really sucked!
