I just returned from a trip to Belgrade. I had a great time, althought hotels are a bit of a problem. I stayed my first two nights at the Hotel Yugoslavia. It is outside of town along the Danube. The rooms are crappy and it was very noise. One end of the hotel was bombed. There were many small floating bars outside the hotel on the Danube. These were crowded and full of young hip couples. No chances for fun there though.

Then I moved to the downtown and stayed in the infamous "Metropole." This hotel was better. I really liked the downtown as there were many people walking around and lots of bars, cafes, etc. Lots and lots of young beautiful girls. All dressed so nice. But they were not attainable. It was just as the previous posts confirmed. First, there were no strip clubs or such in the downtown. Just discos. The one next to the hotel was only open very late at night, so I could not go. Also, there were no ladies of the evening anywhere. I was warned that these ladies hung around the Metropole, but I did not see any. I was prepared to plunck down $100 bucks for action, but could not find any. The taxi driver I asked thought about going out of town, but trust me, that could cost a small fortune.

The one night I was on my own I stopped by a local bar and saw Tonya. She was the barmaid. So beautiful. Could have been on the cover of any fashion magazine. Sweet, beautiful, perfect.

The people are very nice in Belgrade, and the women are beautiful. But don't expect much action for now in Belgrade.

diskrecija.com is a scam run by mafia. Girls that arrive to your place are not the ones presented on the web site (sometimes even hair color doesn't match!). But refuse to pay - and you are in trouble. Stick to Montenegro these days, Belgrade is not worth a trouble.

Thanks for the update, but did you mean "Stara Pasua" or "Nova Pasua"?

Stara is about 8 min east of Belgrade while Nova is about 12 min away.

update... ads in "oglasi" did not stop, now girls are advertised as "masaza", meaning "massage" and the wording usually says: offering all kinds of massage services... so, get back to work!!!

GeorgeB9 is correct. Just back from Belgrade and crackdown on crimelords is very heavy. Roadbocks every few miles and as vice is gang driven it has virtually been eliminated or driven so far underground as to be invisible. Makis has been closed down and Metropole club was burned out (soon to be re-opened but as a more conservative niteclub).

Eventually found a good brother, very discreet, no signage or indication at all. Taxi driver knew it. In town of Posova (probably not correct spelling - just how it sounds). It is a small town about 10 minutes further out of town and past where Maki was.

About 12 girls, Maldovan and Ukrainian, all good to great lookers, many with English and good attitudes (not surprising as business is really slow). $50 per hour and spent another $50 on drinks for 4 over about 3 hours. Taxi was $30 to drive out (appx 30 mins) wait and return. Not bad at all. Suggest you enquire from taxi drivers working the Hyatt as they have good English and know the places of interest to business travellers.

For all that, its a pain in the ass trying to get laid in Belgrade just now.

If you are looking for action in Belgrade now, you may as well forget it. Since my last post in November 2002 things have changed dramatically. Police have had a blitz on the brothels, and now all the contact ads in OGLASI have been stopped. The murder of the Prime Minister, Zoran DINDIC has led to massive action against local mafia, so expect prostitution to be in the front line of attack.

Street action has always been rare, and so until the girls find a way round the current situation I suggest you stick to Hungary, Czech Republic or Rumania for the foseeable future, apart from trying the last few posts of course.

Hi Dracula,

It's quite easy to find. It's just off the highway from Belgrade-Novi Sad, about 20minutes by car from the centre of Belgrade. Look on the right side of the highway and you will see in the distance a "HOTEL MAKI" sign. Take the next exit and follow the signs. Don't get turned off by the high concrete fence and automatic doors at the entrance to the hotel. Wait a while and they will open them for you to park your car in the parking lot. I think the suburb is called Banovci or Stara Pazova. Have fun.

PS: the bar man told me weekdays are much better service and not so crowded.

Just checked out a place called Maki's bar. Mostly Russian girls and all very pretty (7-8), all under 25. Prices were 35Euro 1/2hr 70Euro 1hr. Rooms are incredible, clean and modern. Place is like a fortress, surveilance and automatic doors. Lots of guys so the girls were very busy, you had to pick a girl as soon as possible or else she would be snapped up in less then 2 minutes.
It is about a 30min drive from the centre of Belgrade so you would need a car, although most taxi drivers I spoke to know about it.

Finally phoned an ad in Oglasi and was very disappointed with the girl that arrived. She didn't fit the description the pimp gave me. She cost 50 Euro for an hour. Suggest to pay a little more and go for the ads which are under "extra" they are hot and worth the extra money (75-100Euro/hr)

Have also visited many boats along the Danube but very hard to pick up the local girls there. They usually go there with other guys and are not easily approachable. Although I have seen some real beauties there.

thanks for the tips... last time i was in belgrade i was in a place called river (reka) in zemun, seems to me a good place for action.

also i heard about some riverboats on danube and sava, did someone check them?

Hi Dracula,

I've been living in Belgrade for a year now and have had most success with the local girls in the cafes around the Dorcol area. One street in particular called strahinjica bana has many bars and also the side streets around this street are good. My favourite bar is called "street" in Dositejva st. Lots of foreigners go there and the girls are friendlier than other places.

Belgrade girls take some dating before they are willing to come back to your place for a "coffee", which insuates something "may" happen, but not always.

PS: The brothel seen is almost dead after crackdowns from the police. There are 2 which are still active but they are a 30 minute drive from the centre, the girls are all Romanian or Moldovian. Very beautiful girls. prices are around 75Euro for an hour or 150Euro 2 hours in one of the bars. The other bar I haven't been to yet but will report back after this weekend.

I haven't tried the ads in "Oglasi" - too many and you can't see what your ordering !

Hi to everyboy!

Does someone know some good place in Belgrade to hang out and meet some nice girls, but no pros. It seems I will be staying in this city for a longer period of time and I want to get the relevant information even before i set up myself there...

I really do not want to meet prostiutes, but lovely Belgrade girls. Some advice? Places, bars, shopping centers, restaurants...? Do people of Belgrade have some prejudices about people from the west?
