I'm just adding some info about Banska's only night club. It's well worth checking out if visiting Banska.

There are not really other options in Banska, but you can always try your luck with local students. It's far easier in Banska than Bratislava or Prague.

Bez Bazarra is probably right to a certain extent. That agency is a business so they probably pay enough to get the girls to want to do it and no extra as charity. From the customers they surely try to get as much as the market will stand, every business with suppliers and customers is like that - if there is a big gap then it is a good business for them. I would suspect that the "few hundred dollars" figure is a bit low though - that would maybe be how much they got states that were part of the former USSR and that is the part of "Europe" that he knows most about. People in the EU are not that desperate because they always have the option of going and working in another country even if their home country is in a bad way. I don't know if the rumour is true but there is an agency that provides this and they say these girls are often bought for business partners so it could be. I guess we will never find out because the guy is due to be rotated back to the US in the near future.

I must say I was initially surprised that such an agency would exist in a developed European country, but I have had some experience with this and I talked to the owner and he says that most of these girls come from villages which are way behind the larger cities in Slovakia - the kind of place where you can buy a whole house for 400000 Sk.

I know that people here compare it to the killer agency in the film Hostel, but it is completely legal. Prostitution is basically legal (or tolerated 100 percent) and there is no law specifically about virgins so it's ok. It's true that they don't advertise and you need to be introduced by an existing member but most of the people in the business community here know about it or at least know who to ask about it, and ordinary people can't afford it so there is no reason to provoke them by putting it in their faces. For that reason they also don't cooperate with journalists.

The owner told me that the agency has some local school teachers working for it to identify possible girls. In the villages there are no secrets and in some ways little shame so the younger teachers who have a good relationship with the kids usually know which girls are still virgins and which are not when they reach eighteen.

The agency then works by initally posing as a teen magazine and talking to the girl, usually the approach is to get the girl to talk about friends who lost their virginity already (about half lose it before they are eighteen here, and a second purpose of this is to confirm that the girl isn't among them), a lot of the stories are like "my friend slept with the captain of the soccer team, and the next day he didn't speak to her and told everyone about exactly how he fucked her, and then he had another girlfriend the next week". If she isn't planning to keep herself till her wedding night or at least till she is engaged, and she has seen how the first time isn't usually magic then they make her an offer that can get her started in life.

They then tell their client list that a girl is available and try to see who is interested (you would think a lot of people, but most of the clients need a girl only to seal a specific deal, or only want one once because they never had virgin when they were younger). The fee is usually about 250000 Sk and is paid either in cash or through e-gold (I did it through e-gold myself because with the USD in the toilet this is almost 9000 dollars and that is a bit too much cash to be walking around with).

The girl is then brought to Kosice, they shave her pussy (they say for psychological reasons - once they have done this she feels "changed" and as if she can't back out and go back to her previous life as a virgin in her village - but I think the reason is that lots of clients want to think the girl is not eighteen) and she meets the client, on the first night she sleeps somewhere else. The client gets two nights in a hotel thrown in - the first night acclimatizing to the town and sleeping off the travel etc. and he meets the girl for an hour or so in some restaurant. On the afternoon of the second day, the girl comes to his hotel room and she stays until the late evening. The guy sleeps again in the hotel the second night before going back to Bratislava or wherever.

I don't know how long this place has been around but there is now a 24 hour place in the centre of Kosice. I found it by accident when visiting a client in the same building. It is called Rebeka and it is at Kriva 18. This is a business centre and you can walk straight in during the day and go up to the ninth floor. Turn right when you get out of the lifts. The prices are 1200 Sk for half an hour and 1700 Sk for an hour so it is way cheaper than the other clubs.

There are normally only three girls working (so it could be said to be more like a private than a club), and the quality in terms of looks isn't high - it is just "ok". The girls are aged between about 25 and 35, and some of them actually live there. The best thing about it is the service. I tried Night club Romeo in Banska Brystica.

I went there around 1am on Monday and only two girls available. They have normally 4 at a time, but this time one was upstairs and one doing hotel outcall.
