I think you are going to be disappointed if you try to make Barcelona into Frankfurt or Medellin.

It is different than those two places. Barcelona doesn't want a highly visible huge club or red-light scene, presumably for (non-sex) tourism reasons, so it doesn't any that are highly recommended.
