I must say that I don't support the view that Catalans are unfriendly. On the issue of independence many people, including me, believe that there is a case to be made for separation from Spain. You may have your views but you should IMHO treat people with more respect and listen and try to understand what the issue of independence is about before saying that Catalans have sticks up their arses on an important issue both for Spain and Cataluya.

Without getting TOO off topic here: I have lived here 4 years. Living (me) is different than vacationing (you). I see every day what 'the issue of independence is' here. It's on the front page of the newspaper practically DAILY. There are about 100 other more important issues for Spain.

If my post helps someone get some p4p great. If it helps someone decide whether they should move to live here or not, it's my two cents on why they shouldn't. A great city for a vacation, but not to live.

Best value for your money are "Peluquerias". These are small Chinese hair salons that offer massages. 20e for one hour. If you tip the girl 20e you get a happy ending. Sometimes they blow you, I would say in 10% of the times I go to one you can get them to fuck. Why do I like these so much? Because you get a legit massage for 60 minutes.

Other than that the people here ('catalans') are unfriendly and have a stick up their ass regarding independence from Spain. Expats here are the best people to make friends with IMO. If you go to the south of Spain or Madrid the people are MUCH friendlier and nicer.

This theme is echoed not only on this board but much more so when comparing the Barcelona reviews on the American review site and more importantly when using google translate to read the reviews in English from the popular Spain-based review site. The independents are more expensive, generally at least 150 euros ore hour but GFE services and multiple pops in the hour are the standard. Thanks for the advice. You're right, on the international scale 150 euro for an out call experience with a beautiful lady in a no-hassle environment is a good deal. But I do get spoiled by the German standards, where there are many cost-effective options available in a city. Germany warps everything. And, for the record, I have had better experiences in the houses, and the quality of the choices was still very good. The lack of outstanding experience was almost certainly a function of my choice of girls and sticking to 30 minute sessions. Back in Barcelona for a couple of weeks and checking out some of my favorite spots. A quick report:

Top Damas: I've been here a couple of times and agree with the general assessment that it is one of the nicer houses.
