Thanks all for the advice, I am in Barcelona for a few days and based on the information here I tried out two things last night:
I know the answer is perhaps "you have no hope", but I am going to be kicking around on the 25th and 26th here in Barcelona and I am hoping to find at least some action going on somewhere.

I know TD and Kiss Me and the like are going to be closed (I asked!) but is there ANYTHING doing anywhere?

I need something out of my apartment as I am travelling with family so I cannot do take in.

As it's getting close on time for you, I'll suggest as an outsider to try one of the 3 Chinese places mentioned in various posts a little further back on this thread; Balmes 74, Muntaner 14 and 1 other. Google "Orientales Barcelona", all 3 places are linked on the site with details and contacts. Some Chinese places in London are open 25/26 I read on Pnet.

Is it true that the majority of streetwalkers in Barcelona are mostly young, slender and from Eastern European countries?

It seems that most everyone on this forum prefer that type. Young and slender. If one goes by all of the pictures posted here. That's just not my cup of tea.

Can one find older and chubbier ladies on the streets or is Barcelona also hopeless for someone like me?

Totally original, and friendly. This place has been mentioned often in ISG but has anyone paid a visit to the place recently. If so please let us all know what the establishment is like and the services available and the prices. I tried the Muntaner 10 address, but I got a guy who answered the buzzer. In the forum their address was listed as 1 and 1a. I didn't want to go through all the buzzers so I went down to the corner to Muntaner 14. This was much easier. I hit the red button and waited. I never heard a buzzer so I pushed on the door and it was unlocked. I wasn't sure which floor this was going to be so I took the ancient elevator and pushed p1 (I think). Anyway, it was only one floor up. I pushed their buzzer and was met by the mamasan. Someone had earlier mentioned the Carribean massage place on the opposite side. Might be interesting to try that out.

As usual, the girls come in and kiss on the cheek. There were only 3-4 girls and only 1 was attractive. Her name was Sala and I chose her. She is attractive with long dark hair. Well maybe it was not a very good day/time of the day when I visited the place. You should definitely go to Brazil if you want to experience something breathtaking for a couple of hundred dollars. Once a South American girl moves abroad (especially for professional reasons), she'll never be quite the same again. But as I mentioned earlier, Barcelona (TD) is a very good option if you want to have some fun and don't feel like spending 12+ hours on a plane.
