If you have Marriott loyalty points to spend, the Cotton House is a truly fantastic boutique hotel, but too expensive to pay cash for in my opinion.

If you are a walker, 30 minutes in any direction from that hotel will take you just about everywhere in town for sex and sightseeing. The beach is one direction, the Gothic Area another direction. Sagrada Familia another direction, etc.

Vecinitas is close to the Girona metro station. A hotel in hotel in Gracia or Eixample (closer to city centre) would be in relative walking distance. (These two areas also have nice bars / restaurants).

Could you be more specific about what mean? Do they lie about testing the girls when they are not doing that? What did the girl share with you if you don't mind expanding a little bit.
