I easily believe that years ago to go to canary could be really big fun, but now if this thread is dying, is nothing in compare how fast is dying tenerife.

I thought about Dubaj, but my problem is that in Dubaj, much more than to tenerife for example, you pay a lot if you are alone in bedroom. For example 1 week in hotel 3 or 4 stars with flight to Dubaj was 1500 euro + 800 euro cause I used the double bedroom only me. ( extra single person in room I mean, I do not know exactly how is in english, sorry ).

From Milan 2 weeks+flight in hotel sol tenerife, the 2 big tower close to veronicas, it cost 1400 euro. 1700 euro at park klub europe, so I thought I will use ryanair and find once there something cheaper.

I had a friend who went with family to park klub europe and he found an good offer, but it was 650 euro flight+1week, so I have the feeling in London you can buy the same package holiday for a much lower price than in Milan.

That was I thougt when a month ago I did my homework and I read your report about how cheap price you paid from London to catalania oro negro.

Dec09, I went to Tenerife on a family last minute holiday.

We paid something like 280 euros each for our 7 nights holiday at the Catalania ore Negro hotel, including flights from London.

The price included Breakfast and Dinner, buffet style.

The food at the hotel was quite good actually, and the bonus was we had great weather.

The cold spell you experienced must have been the overspill from Europe mainland.

It is a much better option to do places like Canary Islands, Morocco, Tunesia, Turkey <Egypt, on a Package Tour basis.

It does work out much cheaper than doing the holiday seperately, and you avoid being ripped off once you get there.

Once your Accommodation is sorted you can always rent something on the side there, for example in Morocco.

Agadir, Morocco, is a much better option than Canary Islands for a Warm Winter cheap holiday with cheap pussies.

It is just across the sea from the canary islands and almost the same weather.

Another alternative for a warm place in the winter is Dubai.

But of course more expensive, but More variety of Girls from all over the world.

Dubai is quite safe.

If you thought Tenerife was dead, you be well advised to stay away from a similar place, aka the portugese island of Madera.

Ok let's try to write some good infos here.

I planned to go there for 3 weeks, from 17 January till 7 February but after 2 days I was already thinking to go back home.

Weather, yes, you have during the day such as 22-24C, but if blow the wind it is cold to dress only bathing suite before noon and after 15:00 and not everyday is sunny, in 7 days I sunbath just 4.

In the night surely you cannot dress only a shirt, it is really cold, often just 15C. But with wind blowing it seems much more colder, so even if it is better than weather you have in central europe, it seem to me more a warm winter than a spring time.

Hotel and apartment suck a lot!

I bought ryanair flight and I thought to find there a good and reasonable cheap place where to stay, cause in segunda mano, I saw locals rent a flat for average 350 euro per month!

But when you go to hotels. If you have no reservation they all said full booked!

There seems to be a sort of mafia, a secret agreement between all the hotels and residence flats that they will refuse everyone without reservation.

And the travel agency there get the same commission of the ones in your home place, it was the first time, and I travel a lot, that "on the place" you had the same prices you saw in your home town.

Anyway for such cheap 410 euro I got 7 days at Aparthotel Columbus very close, I understood lately, to your Catalonia oro negro Jojoson.

Night life. Sucks as well, cause which kind of night life you can have with 90% of turists that are older than 50yo?

Locals due to crisi go out only on Saturday where more or less every places is quite good, but if you stay there 14 days you have only 2 days of nightlife. Too small!

It sucks cause it is almost sad to see such many, really hundreds of bar and restaurants almost empty, due to the fact that most of hotel and apartments offer all inclusive, so why one should go out to pay for a beer if he can have for free where he stays? Even more, if most of turists are very old, it is obvious that they go to sleep very soon and the little nightlife starts after midnight as in almost every place in spain.

So if it did not suck enough cold weather for all the day, from about 15:00 pm when you leave beaches or the swimming pool of your hotel, you have to wait about 9 hours to see some young people hanging around.

After the first night there, I was afraid I was in the worst place of my life in matter of holidays+pussy, but later I stop to be only afraid and I was very sure about that.

I tried almost everything place between playa de la americas, los cristianos and costa adeje and nothing!

Here in order:

Santelmo. It is a street up the beach with 3 floors level, with bars and restaurants, so many that even on Saturday night in every place you have just 8-10 persons, so you should keep moving looking for at least a couple of decent girls.

Achaman, it is a disco for locals that it is smaller than my garden, it is the one very popular between locals but on Saturday night it seems a gay party.

Faro chill out, big disco but with about 80-100 persons on Saturday it look pretty empty and on Friday there were only 8 cars in the parking.

I met a guy from slovakia, country that I know very well so we became friends, I spoke Slovak better than english and he told me, the isle is totally dead as nightlife.

There is some good nighlife in santa cruz in the north, the capital, where there are university, but it is far 90km from south, so I was not going to to rent a car and to drive 180km for maybe some young girls.

He said about 10 years ago there were 90% of very young tourists, but now it is the perfect isle for people waiting to die. And for the average age they have, he couldn't be more right.

So? So hookers, right?

With him we went to some private apartments, between playa de las americas and los cristianos, he called them before to go, we got the numbers from the local newpapers, well for an average 50 euro half hour you get only ugly fat pig woman, but I enjoyed this search cause we went there with his motorbike, however I was still without a piece of pussy.

There are many and everywhere, you do not have to know where they are cause there are girls in the streets that try to get customers there, for each customer a girl that bring you there, receive 2 euro. With 50 euro 30 minutes for models type and with BBBJ and dfk and DATY in almost every fkk in german, it seems to be too stupid to spend much higher price to have much less with more ugly girls.

Well I did not travelled in all the world to be such easily ripped off. In spain!

Yes. In Canary islands & Tenerife one is always guaranteed great weather in the winter.

But after a week you do get restless, being surrounded by 60's and over holiday makers.

Younger crowds as you know travel mainly in the summer and late spring.

I didn't find the Canaries particular cheap as I am £ and US$ based.

The Euro is too high for me at the moment.

I think Agadir in Morocco in the winter is a much cheaper destination for Mongering and other costs.

Staying in Playa del Ingles (Jan-2011) I can only recommend to take the car (40-50 minutes) to Las Palmas. A good alternative is to take the bus, which costs something around 6 or 7 Euro one way. In Las Palmas there are two big underground "central" bus stations. One in the city center and one in the harbour area. Unfortunately you have to take the local bus number one at night to get from the harbour area back to the city center. That is as after 9pm or so the night buses back to Playa del Ingles only leave from the city center bus station. If you pay some attention when arriving by bus, figuring this out is quite easy and there's not really any danger of getting stuck in Las Palmas. In Las Palmas I found one place to my liking, but there are more. If you have some time to kill there's also a El Corte Ingles department store and a big shopping center with a cinema next to the harbour underground bus station. In the city center there are only a couple of nice restaurants at night.

Anyway, I also went to see two places in Playa del Ingles, described at the end.

Doll House, Las Palmas.

The place is in a normal residential building in Lucas Fernández. 5 (number is on the wall, so real easy to find) in the harbour area. The outer door is always open, and you simply enter and then ring the bell next to the iron gate. The door to the apartment is on the second floor on the left hand side. It's clean and well-managed.
