If you have a look at my reports from the last few years you will see I have mostly written about places in or near Las Palmas. As far as I know the prices I have previously given are all still correct except that Las Rosas is now €120 for an hour rather than €130.

In Las Palmas (and I think in Playa del Ingles) there are bars but I have never been to any as I prefer brothels and independents. Read SirMarjalot's report from just over a year ago, he tried some bars in Las Palmas and wasn't impressed. As far as I know the Canaries do not have any of the big, usually out of town, clubs that you find in the rest of Spain. There are places that call themselves clubs but I don't think they are really any different to the bars.

One good thing about Las Palmas is that there are a lot of brothels that aren't too far from each other. If you don't like the line up in one then there is no problem walking out and going to see what their competitors have to offer.

Flight tickets are still affordable for these two destinations from country, so I was wondering to plan a trip.

I usually stay in Las Palmas in the north of Gran Canaria which, conveniently enough, is where most of the knocking shops can be found. If you stay in the main tourist area in the south (Maspalomas / Playa del Ingles) then I think it's a bit harder to find anything but with a bit of effort I'm sure you could manage it. If not then Las Palmas is only about an hour away by bus. The resorts in the south are purpose built for tourism and are sunnier than the north but Las Palmas does have a very nice beach (Playa de las Canteras) and plenty of decent restaurants and bars. It's also a good base from which to visit other parts of the island by public transport as the buses are cheap and go just about everywhere you might want to visit. Hiring a car for a day isn't very expensive and it is sometimes nice to not need to rely on buses.

If you're going to Tenerife then I'd suggest staying in the Puerto de la Cruz or LOS Cristianos areas if you're not hiring a car. I really wouldn't want to stay in Santa Cruz. I have always hired a car when in Tenerife, it isn't expensive there either.

I visited El Numero 15 on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to get laid given their advertisements of "chicas 24 horas". The girls Ruby and Karina, in particular, looked appealing. The location (Ctra. General Puerto Cruz - Arenas, 15, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz) is easy enough to find and no more than a one-kilometer and 15-minute walk up from the beach on Av. Blas Prez Gonzlez. To outer gate for the premises is not locked, so just push that open and proceed to the inner gate that has a buzzer.

Once they buzz you in, climb the stairs to be greeted by the madam and seated in a room with a couch and two armchairs. I suspect that while a working girl, she is more of an assistant to the madam and that is the only reason she was there on a Sunday. So, this establishment is to be avoided on Sundays.

At this point a little frustrated with what the town had to offer, yet doggedly unwilling to venture further afield to Santa Cruz, La Laguna, or Las Americas for my pleasures, I turned to the classifieds. There was nothing much useful in the local paper Diario de Avisos, with most of that business seeming to have moved onto the web by now. The main sites I perused were Pasion, Slumi, and Algo Discreto, though there are many more.

As I wanted to find genuine independents, the strategy I used was to google advertised phone numbers to weed out adverts with red flags, such as multiple different girls sharing the same number (most likely an agency handling the bookings). Thanks Zoozimus, I managed to find a small brothel in Caleta de Fuste called La Sirena as it was advertised on the free guide map given out in my hotel. I have been 4 times between noon & 6 pm and seen a different girl each time.

Concorde hotel was nice, good food in the morning and the evening better than the restaurants. Breakfast was included and would pay 15 euros for an evening meal, buffet eat as much as you could, half bottle of red wine was another 6 euros.

The climate in Las Palmas during late November was very mild day and night. Needed the air conditioner on and could wear t-shirt and shorts but not hot in jeans either. Not humid. Unfortunately the week was blustery with more wind, clouds and rain than...

I didn't go into any of these places and the only useful info I could get out of any of the touts (one of them was mute, I kid you not) was that drinks in Moulin Rouge are 5. Neither of the two that could actually speak would tell me what the other prices were, they just said you have to discuss it with the girls. So I assume if you go there it's haggling time.

I did try these places. The girls inside are not good. Mostly fat mature African women asking for 200 euros.
